Our group had an amazing time at this resort! The staff was lovely and fun to chat with, the pools were amazing. The layout of the resort was very interesting with a lot of spots to explore. Our rooms were a little out of date but still comfortable. Unfortunately, the buffet food was not our favourite… it seemed like it was difficult to find fresh food and the flavour was not always the greatest.

TERRIBLE.TERRIBLE.DISGUSTING. Upon arrival, the staff tried to sell you on vacation rentals giving you the white glove experience. As we got to our room, the toilet seats hadn’t been cleaned and completely outdated. They claim to be all inclusive, but restaurants only open limited hours, no food at the pool, and recommend making reservations at restaurants that are not buffet; out of the four days we stayed only able to make reservations at two restaurants. We found out they only take reservations at the concierge, but upon exiting restaurants, they take walk ins. Our last day, we came home to an animal having ripped apart our room and 2 year old daughters snacks to shreds. We didn’t leave any doors unlocked which is puzzling meaning only when they come to give extra towels or change the fridge did an animal get let in. Security came to do a report to only ask if we were okay that nothing was missing, there’s blood (I have pictures for mng) all over the floor and they expect us to sleep there with our daughter where a flea or rabid animal was rummaging around. An attendant called asking what time for luggage pickup which we said 9 a.m. and after 9:10 no one showed up. We had to call, a pickup didn’t come until 9:25 and then the driver had to to another pickup after being 25 minutes late. We almost missed our shuttle due to this, we asked the driver what was going on and he said “you’re not the only ones in the resort”. Despicable service and outdated garbage in general.

The service is what truly sets this resort apart. My girlfriend and I spent a week here and absolutely loved it, but the exceptional service made our experience even more memorable. We spent most of our time at the Platinum Riviera Pool and Bar, where Isabel, Mauricio, Marvin and Magharit made every day special with their warm conversations and expertly crafted drinks. YOU HAVE TO try the Minion shot!! For dining, we couldn’t get enough of Miso Restaurant, visiting three times during our stay. Alberto and Ricardo made each evening fun and engaging, providing outstanding service. The food was fantastic—especially the Teppanyaki! Mornings started with breakfast and lunch at Snack Riviera, where Dalila’s friendly smile and delicious egg white omelets became a daily highlight. Lorenzo at breakfast and Anjelica at lunch also went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. We truly loved this resort and will definitely be back—not just for the beautiful setting, but for the incredible people who made our stay unforgettable.

This resort exceeded our expectations. First off, the staff are incredible - they are very attentive and keep the property looking beautiful. The food was very good - especially a la carte restaurants. We were impressed with the good environmental practices at the resort - reusing cups, no straws, etc. So many pools, so many bars and great service by the pool or beach. We travelled with 3 children and the room setup (bunkbeds) was perfect for us. I can't say enough good things about the Grand Riviera Princess. Thank you for a great vacation!

I would not recommend this resort. There are better options in the price range. The size of the resort is cool at first, but then just becomes a nuisance. You aren’t walking to see anything. You are just walking to walk. This is also the first all inclusive I’ve been to that did not care about guest experience, which is unfortunate as guest experience is everything with this type of vacation. We had an awful interaction with Elias on Feb 8th at the Sports Bar. He asked for our order, then got mad we gave him an order. He asked if we spoke Spanish so we thought he didn’t understand English. We translated the order into Spanish. He laughed while stating, “I understood” in English. He still refused to take an order while having his pen and order pad out. Beats me. We asked what he was trying to do and he got real defensive. We just got up and left as he showed us his name badge. We also reported to front desk and they did not care. Front desk also called the night before for luggage service at checkout. It was scheduled for 8 am. By 805, no one showed up and we were getting nervous as our airport transfer was for 820 and it is at least a 10-15 min walk from our room to lobby. They called as we were getting ready to leave the room with our bags and said give them 3 more minutes. They never showed up. There is only one elevator per building so couldn’t have missed them. We did the luggage transfer ourselves. We told front desk at check out and they didn’t care at all.

Great resort! Food is good and fresh a 4 stars for me not a 5 stars. But since the resort is so nice, clean and the staff friendly and helpful the food is very acceptable. They also have a great choice of a la carte restaurants and La Fleur is an excellent one. The beach is beautiful, lots of shade, water shoes are useful since the bottom is rocky in some area. And the coaties were not a problem, they had a lot less around than when I first visited 5 years ago. We had a great time!!
