This hotel was really great. The price was inexpensive. The location is right in the heart of action. The only concern is that the nightclubs are right below so they play music to about four in the morning but for young people looking for a clean, nice inexpensive hotel you can’t do any better than this place. Also try the restaurant below Yum Yum it’s delicious.

Bring ear plugs

Beautiful property, with a private roof top terrace with a hot tub. The room is a complete apartment with kitchen dining living and bedroom. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. Includes a free parking garage. However there few drawbacks. The biggest it seemed at first to be a huge benefit is it is only one block from 5th Ave. When I booked the hotel this seemed like such a nice feature to be only steps from all the attractions of 5th. In practice i regret this. The night clubs in the area play music so loud it can be heard clear and loud inside the hotel. I'm so grateful i packed ear plugs or there would have been no way for me to sleep. The music stops between 3-4am. The hotel is split into two wings. One wing has the hotel lobby/reception and bar you enter from 10th Ave. The other wing enters from 6th N and there is no way to get from that side to the lobby or bar without exiting the building or going down to the hot dirty parking garage.

5-Star Review for Antera Hotel We absolutely loved our stay at Antera Hotel! Here’s why: - Perfect location: Just a 2-minute walk to 5th Avenue, with tons of restaurants nearby and even Walmart within walking distance. It’s central whether you’re heading north or south along 5th—super convenient. - Great amenities: The two infinity pools and hot tubs were a highlight. We stayed in an apartment-style unit that came with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and a cozy porch—everything we needed for a comfortable stay. - Family friendly: They provided a baby crib for our 6-month-old, which made traveling with a little one so much easier. Highly recommend Antera Hotel for families or anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a great location in Playa del Carmen.

This hotel is always my first choice, this time we booked the apartment with a private roof top ! Was an excellent and pleasant experience . We will do it again! A negative notes is the multiple clubs around the area . Noise can be bad at night . Overall great experience

DO NOT STAY HERE. Staff is so rude and un accommodating, the place looks nothing like pictures. Absolutely never stay here. There’s also no view unless you want to look at construction. The tables are pealing and stained. It’s awful.

We enjoyed staying at this place with my wife and 2 small kids. The bartender el cubano was super friendly and gave us the local go to spots to go eat that were amazing. Food was great located right in front of a convenience store that had everything. We’re coming back to this place next year.

Wonderful Choice for Playa del Carmen

My friend and I stayed in one on Antera’s family apartments so we could each have our own bedroom. It was great! We each had a comfortable beds and our own bathroom. The air conditioning was excellent, a wall unit in each room. We loved having a refrigerator for cold drinks. The staff were all very friendly. The location was perfect for us—within an easy walk to the beach, bus station, and great food, but a couple blocks from the touristy 5th Ave. And our stay was very affordable! Yes we heard the disco a couple of the nights, but a little white noise from my phone made it a non issue.

Great hotel except very noisy surroundings !

Unless you book the residences it is a very noisy experience. The location is great but views are non existent. Tun down building in front and construction of other building directly in front. The rooftop pool and hot tub great but bar never open. Even the bar in main reception hardly ever open. The room is very clean and comfy but could use a coffee machine and sound proof doors !
