This place is convenient for us in its proximity to family when we visit. This was the first time our trip was not enjoyable. Very noisy neighbors at 1:00 and 2:00 in the morning.

Infuriating check-in.
Check in was insulting. We arrived early, maybe 90 minutes prior to official" check in time of 3:00. Clerk said our room was READY but we had to pay a $30 early check in fee! This was a $250 per night room and bc we didnt hit six f'n hours of traffic we were being PUNISHED for arriving early for a room that was READY??. We refused to be nickel and dimed for the stupidest reason so when we said were canceling the whole thing (plenty of hotels across the street) the clerk relented. We travel alot and NEVER heard of such a ridiculous policy- especially if the room is ready and we are not asking the staff to expedite its readiness.

Our room had some renovation but it was not completed. Bathroom fixtures had lost there finish. Bathroom door hinges were rusty. No space between end of beds and Tv/fridge console. Had to run the AC to keep the room from being 80 degrees. No drain stopper in shower to take a bath. Skimpy on the number of towels initially in the room. Won’t be going back.

I stayed for several days. Same breakfast sausage and scrambled eggs. No plastic knives. I emailed about a light bulb out in bathroom. 2nd day I asked a guy wiping tables for his help. It was taken care of within a half hour. Maybe more help. I asked for clean wash cloths and the cleaner didn’t have any and didn’t speak English. Maybe people that stay for several days could have a place to submit requests at the front desk. The email request was not acted upon.

Overall it was a very good stay and not my first time staying here. I was accidentally given a room that was out of service with a broken tub valve but the immediately switched me to another room and actually upgraded me to a better room type. I slept good.

The La Quinta Inn in Plainfield was the nicest place to stay that I have found in central Connecticut. The room was spacious and very clean, the shower was in good condition (a rarity these days), the beds were really comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. I was there only one night so I didn't check out the fitness room or pool, but I'll bet they are nice too. The location is also convenient just off I-395, with a large grocery store and shopping center across the street. I was impressed with the deal I got on the room through Expedia. I will try to stay at the La Quinta every time I visit the area.

The room was smaller than I expected. The bed was ok, but the sofa bed was so disgusting dirty. At the end, I just put a bedsheet on top of the sofa and let my son slept on it without opened the sofa bed.

The hotel was clean, well kept, staff friendly. My only complaint was that I requested my trash and wet towels be picked up multiple days in a row and never was it done. They said I could put it in the hallway - but some patrons had dogs so I didn't want to do that.

Unfortunately, we had no hot water in our bathroom. In addition, we were told breakfast ended at 10am. Yet we we arrive to eat at 8:50am there was nothing. When we asked if they were going to replenish, they said no. One of the main reasons for my family staying here was the convenience of breakfast. However, we had to spend additional money else where for this. Would not be staying here in the future.

No pleasure staying here at all. Our room was next to the elevator and the noise was awful. Had to ask for hairdryer and coat hangers as none in the room. Staff almost invisible. Shockingly bad good from the Chinese takeaway opposite. Would never stay again.
