We love staying here, although it is an old, historic building so it’s not super comfy. The beds could use updating, but the area is great. Not many amenities, but it’s easy to drive to Apple Hill.

This place was interesting 😆 I booked this place because of its location in downtown and it being close to the wedding we were attending. When we checked in, there was a sign that they were away helping someone but to call the number and someone would assist. We called the number and someone come down right away. The person who checked us in was very nice and helpful. She said we had to try the elevator at least once. We did and it is not your typical elevator. Very old school. It was cool! The room was a little disappointing. The floors sloped, the beds were sloped, candy wrappers around the windowsill, and the closet had smoke alarms laying around with no batteries (rooms are equipped with functional alarms). The lobby was pretty cool though with the decor and parking was very convenient. This is a good place for an overnight stay. Probably not the place for multiple night stay. Overall a good experience.

Things were fine, I do wish the had silverware, Plates or dishes to accompany the kitchenettes In some of the rooms. Also there was no parking when we arrived so that made it difficult with luggage. Location was great for walking

Central location oozing gold rush history!

Tracy and Taylor provided excellent service. They were so helpful and patient. The maintenance man was very nice as well. I always recommend Cary House to friends who are traveling in the area. I will continue to stay at Cary House whenever I am in Northern California.

Our room was not cleaned properly. The shower curtains had filth on them and the comforter had stains and holes. I like the ambiance of the place but they need to replace the comforters and clean the rooms properly. Not sure if I would stay again.

This place is a historic hotel so it does not have many of the amenities as most hotel so if you like old this is a place for you.
