Where to start....we arrived at 8:30 p.m. and were told that they were oversold and they did not have a double room available for us. They said there was one bed but since we booked with Expedia, they would have to change the requested room type before even offering that. I explained that I was travelling with my sister and a double bed wasn't going to work. I was asking for a solution, anything. The counter person was out of their depth and just not equipped to deal with this. His response to another traveler was if they didn't like it they could just leave. They had the exact same issue as me and they were a family of 3 in town for a tourney.
We spent approx 1 hour and 40 mins on the phone with Expedia looking for a solution and one was finally found. The Expedia rep was amazing and supportive and was honestly just looking for a solution that would work. Eventually with some patience from both sides, we found one. Can't thank him enough for all the work to make it right.
As for the hotel, the whole situation was handled unprofessionally by them and even the manager who had been contacted while we were there and shared a similar attitude to their staff. Staff are a by product of how they're led, that has never been truer.
