It’s a beautiful hotel. The carpets and floors could have been cleaner Biggest issue No concierge it was our first time in Pittsburgh and we needed a lot of help getting around. Your front desk people were very nice but did not have the knowledge that a Concierge would have. We received directions that took us to the wrong place specifically at the top of the incline instead of the bottom I think we would’ve been better off taking an Uber rather than using our car in a strange city, that would’ve been a great suggestion from Concierge. We also went to to the mattress factory had we had more information we never would’ve gone there and spent $40 in fees. Our television wasn’t working properly the first night we were there and I had to call down twice to get somebody to come up and fix it the young man was very, nice when he came and it was fixed, but we should not have had to call twice over more than an hour. Decorations were beautiful and parking staff were exceptional little disappointed in the menus because they were somewhat repetitive in the three restaurants. The pop-up bistro was not anything that we would’ve expected from your signage. My idea was that it would be very cozy with chairs and so forth, and it was a bunch of tables Lined up. Not inviting. Would I use your hotel again not sure

This was our second time staying here and it did not disappoint. Love how the hotel is old fashioned yet has updated certain features to be modern while not taking away from the traditional hotel.

Breakfast took a long time in the Terrace Room, but breakfast and dinner were both good. In the room, the bathroom sink, toilet, and tub were spotless, but some surfaces such as baseboards, charging outlets, and door mouldings were very dusty. The hotel remains a gracious favorite, but some furniture need refreshment, and the carpets in the hallways need a steam cleaning. Don't let this gem slip into seediness!

Great location. The best thing about this hotel is the shower and the quality of the towels. They were fantastic. The bathroom and the other hand was a little smaller than anticipated but worked out just fine. It’s a very nice hotel.

We stay here for overnights a few times a year and really love it. The service is wonderful and the lobby is a great place to hang out, work, read, have a drink or coffee. And the rooms are always very well appointed and comfortable.

Beautiful hotel, loved the history and the display cases with old pictures and memorabilia. Overall room conditions were very cozy, especially the bed and bedding. Room was very clean. Bathroom had a couple of issue the staff might need to check on. The water pressure in the shower was great, but the tub didn't drain so you wound up standing in 3 to 4 inches of water by the time you were done. The toilet ran and squeaked for a considerable amount of time after you flushed it. Closing the bathroom door would drown out that noise. And, the sink faucet dripped. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. However, we stopped in Palm Court restaurant and the Tap Room, and the staff in both were not very friendly. At the Palm Court, those servers basically just seemed annoyed that people were there trying to order foods or drinks. Service was slow as well. Mellon Square Coffee was a highlight, we stopped in there in the morning before hitting the road home. Their coffee and tea were very good, along with a nice selection of pastries and snacks. Good ambiance and atmosphere, friendly staff.

Amazing hotel however they don’t confirm charges.
Very nice hotel. Very nice and helpful staff. However I was over charged 635 dollars and am having to wait 3-5 business days for a refund. I’m lucky I had a little bit of money left. However this could have happened to the wrong person and this needs to be addressed asap so it does not happen to anyone else. They charged me before confirming if I made the charges. (Someone else ordered a bunch of stuff on my room number) ziliana I think was her name she was extremely helpful and even got us a ride back to the airport for free! She made a mistake and made up for it she was great! When I spoke to the dark hair woman manager she had a bit of an attitude and seemed frustrated that I was upset with what had happened. (Who wouldn’t be upset if there account was charged 635 dollars wrongly?) they took 75 dollars off of my room for the inconvenience so that was nice. If you are going to stay here I recommend having a lot of money to back you up in case if you get over charged for holds that should not happen. However the mistakes the staff did everything to help me get everything I needed to back. Extended checkout time, payed for a taxi, took 75 dollars off of our stay. Overall a great hotel and great staff I would just make sure to have plenty of funds before staying here.
