There was not a fan in the bathroom. The hallway smelled like pot. We had to call Hotels.com about a dispute over cancelation of one night. However, it was resolved when we checked out.There was not a list of restaurants nearby or a listing for the television channels. The towels were changed out but the beds were not made and garbage not taken out. The hotel was quiet. Convenient location. The breakfast was good.

The room was very nice however lock on bathroom door was broken so you couldn’t close it completely without being locked in. I requested pillows for the pull out bed but never did receive them. There were 3 people sharing the room and there were not enough pillows.

A no so smoke-free hotel
The room we stayed had an persistant smoking odor. We told the personnel about it and they didnt took any action. The odor was so persistant that some of us had breathing issues after the trip. There was also no ventilation for the shower, so the humidity was stuck in the room. Therefore, the restmoors were full of moisture. Room service also happened only once in our 3 night stay.

Has potential to be a 5 star hotel
Service was good. Staff was helpful and professional. Linens seemed clean and bedding was comfortable. Room was in need of some general maintenance. Paint, wallpaper, grout and caulking needs replaced or repaired. This hotel has potential to be 5 star with some attention to details.

The $100 hold for additional expenses I might incur while a guest was charged twice, I assume by accident. I was assured that both holds would be returned minus any actual charges that I incurred. Also, the bathtub/shower in my room was slippery when wet. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant stay.

Our first room was dirty. The toilet was not cleaned and had urine all over the front, on the floor and a dirty ring inside the toilet. The sink was not clean and looked as if someone had shaved their face and it was all left in the sink. We were moved to a new room after being told housekeeping wouldn’t just come and clean our bathroom because they weren’t there. Housekeeping was literally cleaning the room beside us. The new room smelled and was so humid the sheets were damp. After untucking the covers we noticed a large reddish brown stain on the mattress with black stuff beside it. It was disgusting. Because we were exhausted and trying to enjoy our limited time with our family we placed a towel over the area and just slept there. Worst hotel experience of my life and we travel quite a bit. I won’t be staying at a holiday inn express again.

A stretch to give this place even 3 stars
Ok place, but just felt and looked like a property not very well run or managed. One elevator was out of service, and the coffee served at breakfast was disgusting. Our room had some permanent splatter marks/stains on walls in the bathroom and the shower curtain rod was loose on one end and sagged. Just seemed that property needed some extra TLC.

Stayed here before. Very close and convenient to the areas we need to get to. Check in and out is fast and easy. Bathroom was dirty. Construction was happening right outside so it was noisy in the morning. Also they had to close a street for it. Breakfast was good. Overall a great stay.

Only complaint is temporary, and not the hotel's fault: there's work on 10th St at the end of the bridge, just after the property, in front of the adjacent Oliver Bath House. I don't know how long past this review that will last, but if booking anytime close, be aware. Lovely stay otherwise!
