The hotel was extemely dated and in need of renovation. Our carpet in our roon was covered in dog hairs. The website photos make it look like a beautiful stately home-it is definately not. Very disappointed.

An older Scottish hotel , clean but felt a little tired. Prepaid meals were good, filling, but lacked variety. Breakfast choices were excellent. Very pet friendly. We didn’t use the pool since we had the puppy with us. Staff were friendly but busy as occasionally had to wait longer than necessary for service. Bed was clean and very comfortable. Television doesn’t have WiFi activated so you can’t stream your own accounts, Some people don’t like sitting in the bar after walking all day and prefer relaxing in their room - the TVs have the ability to be SMART allow the guests to utilise this!

Really enjoyed my stay, room was spacious and bed very comfortable. A well stocked hospitality traywelcoming staff, attractive interior and lounge was fabulous. So comfortable d relaxing, loved the full length curtains, fabric very nice. Very good breakfast with plenty choice. Overall a pleasant stay. Would definitely come back

I have stayed in the 2 main hotels on the High street in Pitlochry on previous visits but this is now my favourite even though it is a small uphill walk from the centre. The hotel is in a Pleasant, quiet location with reasonable meal and bar prices, good parking facilities and it has the added bonus of Spa facilities.

The room and customer areas were good but there was some opportunity for improvement with the room. We would have liked two soft sitting chairs, not just one. We would have liked stands on which to put out travelling bags and we would have liked some shelving in the bathroom for our toilet bags and toiletries. Also we never got the towel rail to warm up and the bathroom was cold. We asked about it but nothing was done but on leaving the check out staff told us how to make it work. Instructions should have been included in the room together with info on meal times and the other facilities.

The property is dated and lacked sufficient parking. Be prepared to walk up a flight of stairs with your bags to get to the floor that is not accessible by elevator. Bar staff were friendly. Room was not quite as pictured and the only ventilation was an old window as the bathroom fan didn't work.

In its hey day must have been regarded as a 5 star hotel but is now looking tired and in need of refurbishment. very convenient for main Pitlochry shopping area. Bar meal was excellent and staff attentive and courteous.. Room was quiet and bed comfortable .Good value for money.

We enjoyed our stay. There were a few small tweaks that could be made ie. instructions on how to use the coffee machine and towel rail. The property itself is lovely but needs a little TLC. Overall though we were very pleased and I enjoyed my swim in the excellent pool The breakfast and staff were very professional and friendly. Thank you.

Needs a makeover urgently
Nice location however the property is very tired and could do with a complete refresh. All the bedroom flooring squeaks terribly and the windows need replacing so there there’s less noise coming from people smoking outside the front of the hotel. Staff are great but this doesn’t overcome the other failings.
