This is an older style hotel. Very clean but I didn’t think it was 4star. The staff were very helpful with a problem we had and I was grateful for their assistance. Location can’t be beaten near Tower. Rooms not air conditioned and I think they would be hot in summer. Good selection for breakfast.

The staff were super friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel has a warm charm. The restaurant on the top floor is a must try, with the staff manning a dinner service that is top class. The rooms were clean, topped up daily with toiletries and waters. The breakfast has a wide variety of options and was topped up whenever possible. The location is right between some fantastic restaurants, independent shops and a short walk away from the leaning tower of Pisa. Overall we had a fantastic time and that was thanks to The Grand Hotel Duomo.

Reception staff were amazing. Helpful, friendly and very professional. Room was basic but what you would expect at this price point. The rooftop bar and restaurant had a great atmosphere and friendly service, not to mention fantastic views. Hotel itself is situated a couple of minutes walk from the leaning tower and is surrounded by shops and restaurants. Very glad we chose to stay here.

Extremely responsive and friendly staff at this hotel. It’s smack dab in the middle of the tourist area (two blocks from the Leaning Tower) so you couldn’t find a better location. While the rooms are a little run-down (burnt out lightbulbs, for instance) when there is a problem (slow shower drain) they respond immediately. Very quiet given its location and the staff recommendations for restaurants were great. And their own included breakfast was delicious .

Spent a long time researching Pisa hotels and The Grand seemed a good choice . Was delighted after our stay …on arrival got checked in early @ 11.30 . The hotel is very clean and quite quaint and we were given a lovely room on the 3rd flooor looking out directly at the Tower ….could not ask for better !! Position is fantastic gave us the chance to visit the Tower area at early morning and at night . Breakfast room large and selection generous and good choice . Lovely rooftop bar to look out at Miracole area….book a table in advance to eat there . Staff get 100% so friendly and attentive and full of information . Also big plus was a mini bus transfer to airport at 8am for €20 for 2people . Great hotel will stay here if back in Pisa. Highly recommended.

Lack of fresh air

Extremelly lack of fresh air in the rooms. There is no ventilation in the rooms unless you open up the "balcony door" (there is no balcony), but doing that let a lot of mosquitoes getting in and really ruined my body. Except for that (huge problem) everything was very good.
