Absolutely adorable motel! Such a fun wild west feel, but also clean, comfortable, updated and super friendly staff. I was so glad to have booked here and not in town! Great food at Pappy & Harriet's. I will definitely stay again!

We loved this place! We stayed here while checking out the high desert for the first time. What a beautiful place. Pappy and Harriet's is right next door for great food, and Mane St is right there as well.

An Oasis in the Desert
This was our third visit to Pioneertown, the Motel, and Pappy & Harriet’s, the trifecta of the ultimate unique and wonderfully quirky experience in the California desert. Each year we bring more friends and they fall in love with it. We may make it an annual pilgrimage.

This motel speaks true to the pioneer town name. Very simple & sweet. Chairs provided for stargazing. We stayed with our golden retriever and she was very comfortable with the cool floors and quiet nature of the motel. Not too much noise or commotion. It’s a 75 year old Rustic motel. Very cute, very simple. We loved it and will stay again. Beds were clean and comfortable. Shower looked remodeled. Soaps and shampoos were modern cowboy scents. Wifi provided, no TV. If you’re going to a show at pappy & Harriet’s then this is a great location to stay. 10% discount at red dog saloon if you show your key.
