I've stayed here twice over the past several years and every time there was neglected construction on site. There was a rainstorm this time and multiple leaks all over the lobby areas and hallway. On top of that, both times they mischarged my card for services we did not purchase and made it extremely difficult to track down. The grounds are nice enough and the location is fine, but there's plenty of better options around for the price when it comes down to it.

Tough stay
We did get an upgraded room however we ended up having to change rooms after a few nights because for some reason they were redoing the tubs in the rooms. The smell was overwhelming!, the fridge was not functioning properly as foods were freezing. Had to replace the hairdryer that wasn’t functioning properly. The second room had a broken fridge door. I’m sure I missed something. The mattresses in the rooms really need replacing! Very lumpy and hard. Tough stay. Staff was ok but they were really not apologetic nor were we offered anything for the inconveniences.

The property is an outdated motel that used to be a “resort” hotel decades ago. You do not want to believe those professionally taken photos on the website, deceiving you. The rooms are old and cheap, somewhat creepy in the evening. In addition, a valuable belonging ($130 worth) I left behind on the desk in the room was taken away by a house keeper, never made it to Lost & Found. It took me 6 calls in 4 days to find out since all persons at front desk never called back after they said they would… Finally, after 4 days of check-out, I was told it was not brought in, and that’s what it is by the manager (Cathy). I admit that leaving something behind was my fault, yet a decent hotel with some class and hospitality would not allow this experience to their guests, nor treating the customers in the way they did… It is a 1.5 star large motel. Charging “resort fee” for this (also, pool is closed, bar is closed, restaurant in the backroom, patio is covered by the pool construction dust) is the premier you are paying for… I would never let my family or friends stay here, and those who read this can benefit from risking your biz/leisure travel suffer the harm. Avoid risk; There are other reputable hotels in the area, much closer to Scottsdale downtown, etc. BEWARE, fellow travelers.

This hotel masquerades itself as a resort, but it’s nothing more than an expensive motel. In general it’s very outdated. When you first drive in, you’ll be greeted by a run down parking lot that needs to be re-asphalted. The front doors don’t even open automatically (not convenient if you have bags in your hands). The front desk staff isn’t necessarily welcoming. I got the vibe that they don’t like their jobs or don’t like to be inconvenienced with questions pertaining to one’s stay. The rooms are not only outdated, but lack some basic needs. My room lacked a microwave, hairdryer and only had one uncomfortable desk chair (problematic if more than two people are staying in room). My bathroom also had a partially cracked mirror and paint splatter over the tub. I was provided with one very small soap bar, shampoo, conditioner, lotion (would be nice if at minimum two soap bars placed in room before arrival). The room also has paper thin walls (mine actually had back to back doors that allow one access to the next door room if both unlocked). I could hear regular voiced conversations next door and in hallway. Probably the most disappointing part is a daily resort fee of $30 (mine was $15 since the pool was closed). You pay this for access to pool, some old bikes and canoes to take out on a small man made pond. It certainly lacks resort vibe or quality. Pretty laughable to even market yourself as a resort. Moreover, breakfast is not included for a price tag of >$150/night.

The check in was easy but I didn’t receive any Expedia VIP extras. They mentioned nothing about it. The rooms and hotel are old, the gym has a few machines and is old, dark and small. This property needs a facelift. The pond is pretty.
