Just what we needed

We came to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area for a dance competition. We chose the hotel based on good reviews and close proximity to the competition. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. It fit our needs perfectly.

The bed was itchy. The room was dirty. Had a musty feel to it. The guy at the front desk with the curly hair told me to check in around 410 but I have to check in at four. I’d be considered late.

Served our purpose nicely, but this facility needs a makeover. Carpets in our room was filthy. Granted, this facility is older but has not been kept up. Bed was clean, shower adequate. Buffet breakfast (included) was very good.

This hotel is conveniently located to shopping , dining and outdoor activities in Scottsdale. Our room was clean and quiet and there was plenty of space for the two of us. The complimentary breakfast ( with the exception of the coffee ) was excellent - so many choices ! The pool area was also clean and convenient. The staff were helpful and courteous. My two “ complaints “ about our stay are : the coffee- it didn’t taste or smell like coffee. It was watered down and tasteless. For someone who looks forward to that “ first sip” in the morning, it was a little disappointing. Secondly the exterior corridors and stairwells could use some power washing. They are grungy and there was overflowing trash cans in the stairwells. Overall we were pleased with our stay.

We really enjoyed our quick trip. Friendly staff. Loved social times with breakfast and happy hour. We only had one issue with a funk in our bathroom. Like a moldy wet towel smell. It made time in the room a little unpleasant, but luckily we weren’t in there much. Would come back, just not to that room number.
