The body wash was empty. The refrigerator was too cold and froze everything I put in it. The bed was very comfortable and the room was generous and well appointed.

Flawless hotel for flying in and out of PHX
My son and I stayed at this Marriott owned hotel the night before our 5 AM flight to the east coast. The people were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and the beds were very comfortable. Marriott always has great people and beds. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the walk to the PHO sky tram instead of an early shuttle being available. But our plane did LEAVE at 5 AM.

Insane varying incidentals charges
Room was nice, clean and roomy. Comfortable bed. The room itself was under $200 and I had 2 hold charges for over $200 each and when I called to ask about these charges I was told that they would just fall off in the next 5-10 business days! Over $400 in incidentals charges for a 1 night stay!!! When I asked how much the incidentals charge was prior to booking I was told $100. The woman I spoke to in the phone told me a manager would call me back because she “clearly wasn’t explaining the charges so you can understand them”… I never heard back from anyone…

This was a layover for one night to catch a flight. That said, the carpet is new for sure, the hotel itself is tired. Limited amenities. No bar really (doesn’t open until 5:00pm) which was fine, no restaurant on site, and limited availability of other considerations for a traveler. Okay, so you’re near the airport which is what we desired due to an early morning flight out the next day. We had to go to the Crown Plaza next door for lunch. Both the ALoft and the Crown Plaza offer hotel shuttle to the airport. Given that, we would recommend another property nearby such as the Crown Plaza. If your okay with just the minimum of things then you may be happy at this hotel.
