SAVE YOURSELF!!!!
This not-so cozy little gem is nestled among crack dens & gospel missions in one of the roughest parts of Philly! Take a nice long hot shower. But bring your own soap because you’ll find the soap dispenser as empty as the condemned houses all around you! No washcloths or bath mat towels are provided. Charge all of your electronic devices before climbing into bed. Decide if you're gonna unplug the TV or AC because the other three outlets don't work! Climb up to the top bunk. What’s that? You’ll take the bottom bunk? No, you silly thing. There IS no bottom bunk. Crawl onto the small pad on a wood plank. The pillow case & comforter will provide deep exfoliation. The pillow case and comforter are extra scratchy! It’s as if papier mâché made linens! (Oh! La La! French linens with a thread count of deux!). And, I know what you’re gonna say! But won’t the top sheet get in the way of my skin care? Nope! Because this room doesn’t have one! In the morning, wander down to the 1st floor & take in that VIEW! Oh, did I say “view”? I meant Vue! As in a Saturn Vue. It’s parked right out in front of the hotel and loaded with garbage! If you dare venture out amongst the trash filled lots & threatening folks, you’ll run your fastest mile since high school! Because in about a mile the neighborhood gets slightly better. I hope you enjoy your stay even more than I did! Cause if you check out early, you won’t get a refund. Heck, you won't even get a reply!

I had a wonderful stay at this charming studio apartment in North Philly. The space was cozy and welcoming, with a real homey feel that made it easy to relax. I especially appreciated the free public parking nearby, which felt very safe and convenient. It's a great spot if you're looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. Highly recommend!

Hidden fees ---very unethical.
I am just so disappointed could not get more help on the extra person charge of 60 dollars. I received a price that was acceptable for my husband and I to stay for 3 nights, and then a random extra person charge appeared. I spent a good amount of time emailing, calling, and texting trying to resolve the issue- with no success. I will not stay again, and I will never use Expedia or Hotels.com again.

The cleaners did a good job and the manager was gracious. Albeit not the best neighborhoods, Goodreads is a nice alternative to expensive hotels and motels throughout the city!

After booking my room i read a not so glowing review and decided to cancel. However after speaking with Joe determined the review may have heen biased and unfair. Nevertheless I spoke with Joe who assured me i would receive my deposit. The room was beautifully decorated and artsy. Very clean and affordable for my 4 days. The neighborhood is changing so don't walk around at night. Otherwise all was very well with the room and awesome customer service. I plan to stay again next month.

Amazing Experience
From the time I booked my reservation I was in contact with Joe. Once I arrived Joe provided informed me when I would get the codes & once entered the building I was amazed at how cute it was I mean the pictures didn't do it any justice & the same goes for the room it was a perfect size & I loved how cute the bathroom was. I was close proximity to Temple campus, stores & the train station. When I return to Philadelphia I would definitely stay here again.

I didn't even spend a single night there (I had to leave early for personal reasons - the apartment itself was really quite nice), and yet I have not yet received my security deposit refund. I have reached out MULTIPLE times and have not heard anything. It has been a month and a half.

I booked the suite for five nights, and it was clean and well-located, with an easy bus route to downtown and nearby convenience stores. Although there’s no reception desk, the owner was friendly and quick to address any concerns or questions I had. Don’t Waste Your Money!
Driving up we saw a rat the size of a kitten crossing the street. This is something that owner has no control over, I’m just telling you the kind of environment this is in. The room was the size of a closet or prison cell. My five-year-old daughter would feel cramped in this space. The room was advertised as two beds which is was not! There was a twin size bunk bed with a metal ladder about 9–12 inches wide. I am 6ft 1in and hit my head on the ceiling climbing up in it. The image of the so-called “bed” underneath is not a bed. It’s not even a futon. It’s about a 4 1/2 ft long chaise lounge chair; my legs were hanging off. Whoever renovated this did it for a money grab. I was so uncomfortable I made a reservation at another location that night and didn’t come back. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had.

My stay was very convenient and tidy. The availability of direct street parking and the option for online check-in made it ideal for my overnight visit following a late concert. The room was super clean and of comfortable . I would recommend this for anyone staying in the area.

I booked a room here to recover from a bilateral inguinal hernia surgery. The owner was responsive and got me a room on the ground floor that resembled a studio apartment. I was comfortable and didn’t need to leave my room for much so I’ll definitely book again.
