Staff were helpful and changed beds around for our sleeping arrangements. They also followed up on any questions. Restaurant was handy but limited gluten free options. Overall a nice stay and easy to drive to and from.

It's always a very convenient and comfortable stay here though it's an old hotel in need of a lot of maintenance.
Paint chips in the bath and power points falling apart should be easily fixed.
The reservation I set up was a pkg with the airlines. After the reservation was set up I wanted to stay closer to friends on the north side of Perth rather than the south side (safer area according to friends) and the friends had free accommodations for me and my sister which would have saved several hundreds of dollars on our travel budget. Expedia contacted the hotel on more than one occasion approx 1 week prior to the trip but Metro Hotel would not offer any type of refund. The 1st night we checked in we did not have the 2 king beds that I had requested well in advance of the trip. The bath tub had flaking and staining around the drain. We stayed the following 6 nights in our friend’s accommodation near Hillary’s and returned to Metro hotel for 2 nights. At that point Metro hotel did allow us a room with 2 king beds although when we arrived the room smelled of sewer until the air conditioning was able to clear out the odor. If it weren’t for these reasons I would not have put a negative review because the staff was very helpful with public transportation needs. We were told the chef was fairly new to the establishment and the food was very good with fast service but they didn’t have one of my favorite breakfast items on the menu any longer although it was advertised on the web page menu. The hotel was on the public transport system which was useful to us in our rather short stay of 3 days/nights of 13 of the original reservation.
they took a $100 deposit and said it would be refunded in 72 hrs they now say 10 business days. this is so not acceptable. I will be lodging a complaint with the ombudsman

Had to shorten my stay and was not refunded any money.
Our hotel room was clean ,everything worked had a small balcony with view to city
Bed was comfy and clean
Only negatives just one bed side table and lamp ,there was a drip all night onto room which was annoying
Bed linen and towels spotless. Photographs taken of toilet, bathroom door , bath plug and kettle which were very dirty. The bath was unusable to me as it was very uneven where the enamel was cracked and coming off. Unhygienic and a safety issue. Photograph taken to send to health and safety and head office.
The evening receptionist obviously didn't want to be there and I needed to ask her things that would normally be mentioned.
I definitely would not use this hotel again.

Not much to like. Very old and dated. Air conditioning did not work on a very hot summer day. Booked and paid through Expedia. At hotel, they took $100 pre authorisation of my credit card. Had to contact my bank over a week later to have returned.
