Positives It's right off the main road, so easy to find Parking Continental and (hot) Cornish breakfast Convenient access to St Michael's Mt Negatives It's right off the main road so the noise from passing cars and people will keep you up Heating was off (mid September but it was quite cold, wet and windy) Could do with general renovation Not really close to anything else besides St Michael's Mt, the beach and the old town

Room very small and noticeably deteriorated, sink next to bed, whole place smells damp and after cigarettes. When realized, there is no private bathroom and only small shared bathroom on corridor, we didn't even stayed over night and found something else.

This is a run down B&B/hotel that was not appealing to us. Moldy ceilings and tiles in a shared bathroom, our room stank, the hotel below stank, we left after 15 minutes and went to a Premier Inn hotel. Lost our money! Would not recommend this place to my dog!!!

I had a pleasant stay over the long weekend. The location was convenient, and the staff were friendly, but the facilities need some improvement. Certain amenities could use an update. With a few upgrades, this hotel could offer an even better experience.

The booking was made for a night stay before boarding the Scillonian. On check in it was quite busy and took a few minutes to work out where to check in. Once checked in everyone was helpful with parking and sorting our luggage. We had a triple and although there was a lot of furniture for the room it was comfortable for sleeping, clean for the children and there was an en suite for our room. We were above the bar and obviously there was some noise but it was all quiet by ten thirty and we had a really good night sleep. We booked without breakfast and I would do the same again-the juices were not fit for drinking and the milk was unusual…maybe UHT. I would stay again for the same price just for the good location. We really enjoyed an evening stroll to the beach and some late night pizza and cider in the local surf bar.

The property is extremely outdated and in desperate need of refurbishment. Everything from the linens, carpets, and furniture to the building itself and its surroundings is old and worn. The cleanliness is lacking, and there's an unpleasant odor throughout. There was mold in the bathroom, which was so small that it was difficult to move around in. The towels had a musty smell, and the linens were very old. The noise from the road was disruptive, as the windows are not double-glazed, allowing even conversations from outside to be heard clearly. On the positive side, the breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel is also conveniently close to St. Michael's mount. However, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

It's worth for the money We paid. Breakfast was very good. Room and toilets were clean . Check in experience was not great. I have waited for 10 mins outside. No lift available in the property. Car parking was very tight not suitable for big/long cars.

This was great for a one night stay as a solo cyclist. The owner was very accommodating about my bike stuff and even took care of disposing of my bike box and packing material. Then a late breakfast and a late checkout. As a start to my end to end cycling trip I couldn’t have asked for better. Very basic and above a vibrant pub but for the price, just fine.

Just the ticket
This was one night stay before an early ferry crossing and it was just the ticket. Small twin room with everything we needed for a great nights sleep. Nice people who were helpful and friendly.

Short stay for scillie parking
