This is a gem only a little over an hour from our home in Phoenix. It was our first time here although I have wanted to stay here since I was a kid. The room was lovely, the grounds clean and fresh, and the amenities excellent. Great pool, and every room has a balcony for sitting in the great outdoors. Also, if you go, have the Blueberry Cobbler at the restaurant. You will thank yourself.

So many better places to stay, avoid this one

They do not make clear, either themselves or the Hotels.com listing, that there are $42/nigh resort fees, so when you check in you are blindsided by a rate that is exorbitantly higher than what you thought you were paying. Also, the AC unit did not work in my room. They switched me to another room, also without AC. Front desk staff is rude and unhelpful.

So nice and relaxing! I loved the patio snd the view from the patio. We liked the restaurant and the waitress was very nice. We didn’t get to use most of the amenities as we weren’t there long enough. I hope to go back soon!

I absolutely loved my stay here! The property was clean, welcoming, and well-maintained. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere made me feel right at home. Breakfast was a great bonus—fresh, convenient, and a perfect way to start the day. This lodge is a great place to stay to get away and relax. It is amazing that there is a creek that you can walk to right on the property. I would really recommend this property to anyone who wants to get away and recharge. I also liked that they had the kitchenette so you can use the refrigerator for your leftover food and water. We would definitely stay again.

Good, but not exceptional

I think it’s a good place, but not exceptional. I feel like exceptional places go above and beyond and really nail the finer details. This place did not. These are a few minor issues that took it down a notch for me: loose toilet seat, very wobbly kitchen table, no spare trash bags, found rodent poison just around the corner from our door (we have a small toddler so that was a bit concerning), no welcoming info or wifi instructions in the room, and the walls are paper thin (we could hear almost every word of our neighbors through the wall), very small bedroom and bed. Also, when I booked I thought I was getting an individual cabin next to the creek so feel like the booking could have more clear about what exact room/cabin we were getting because instead we got a cabin with shared walls on the far side of the creek, which made things more inconvenient. Lastly we tried to order a meal at the restaurant, but could only get voicemail despite it being dinner time. We tried calling several times, but eventually had to physically go to the restaurant to place an order. Apparently there wad only one person in the restaurant doing everything? Overall a good place, but I wouldn’t call it exceptional.
