On Christmas Eve, the one day we allowed housekeeping to clean our room, one of my son's Christmas gifts went missing from the night stand drawer while all other gifts in the room remained intact. When we reported the missing gift, the staff said they only have one housekeeper in winter and she would never take anything, and that I should check my room again. When I called back a few days later to follow up, they again treated me as if I was mistaken, and did not even question their staff or check the carts or the room the staff member lives in. They took no responsibility that theft occurred from our room the ONE day housekeeping was in there. When we checked out, from the breakfast room I saw from the breakfast area, that the two staff who took my phone call looked at the room number on the key card I'd left at the desk, laugh and joke with one another making it clear they do not care about their guests.
