This could be a very nice property. Some of the staff were very good, Hani, Pious and Nicolas, especially. The cleaning staff is excellent. We stayed at this hotel last year and were disturbed daily by the construction noise from upgrading the property. We were told that the renovations were due to end by the Olympics. We stayed at another hotel in the spring to avoid another annoying stay with construction noise. We were greeted by a hallway of blue tarps from the entrance to the front doors.To hide the sight of courtyard renovations. Construction was not yet over, so every morning (except Sundays) we were awakened to the sound of hammering,drilling ang grinding. The noise started a couple of days as early as 8:30 AM most days by 9:30. If you intend to stay here, be sure to ask when the refurbishing is complete. We were told it won't be until May 2025. The area is great, close to the Metro, restaurants abound, every type of food you could want is in walking distance.

The room and corridors were dirty, musky and outdated. The toilet seat was old and chipped, the tub was dirty and slow to drain. The sink was also clogging and by the second day, the sink was almost completely clogged. The carpet was stained in several areas, and the air vents were covered in dust. Our heater wasn’t working, and after reporting it to the reception, they did nothing at first. When I complained again, they gave us a small portable heater that felt like a fire hazard so we didn’t use it, leaving my family to sleep in a cold room. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Leak in our bedroom
The hotel and service was fine and ideal for what we were after. Unfortunately, we had a leak from the floor above, right on top of the bunk bed that our kids were sleeping. I had to remove my children from the bunk bed and put them in the adults bed. I had to go down to reception at 5.45am and raise to them. They did offer to switch rooms but I had already switched my daughters into the double bed, to continue sleeping. Disappointingly, on checking out there was no real apology and understanding of the situation. The leak was massive and the amount of water on the carpet and bed was a lot. The hotel subsequently deny there was much water and that it was simply condensation from the A/C. This amount of water was not condensation To date, I have still not received any apology or compensation from the hotel

The staff were very courteous and helpful. The property could be cleaner, but I found it to be super family-friendly and in a prime location, close to the metro and various tourist attractions.

The overnight receptionist had said that the room above (506) had had an issue reported, so I’m surprised that if that was known, why the room below was still issued to guests. BUGS
Immediately upon arriving there was a bug crawling across the bed (bed bug/punaise de lit??). The hotel is filthy and looks nothing like the photos. I think they are planning a renovation and are showing the computer-generated photos of the renovation online instead of what it currently looks like, which is deceiving. After seeing the bug, we didn't even unpack and immediately left, because we didn't want to take our chances with a potential bed bug, as bringing home bed bugs is a costly nightmare. No refund was given to us and the staff were not kind or helpful.
