MAKE SURE YOU BOOK BEACH VIEW

We arrived 45 minutes after check in time due to traffic on our 3.5 hour drive over. The room we booked 2 days prior was not "quality checked" so we had to wait about 20 minute's for the room to be ready. We were informed our "non beach view" room is not on the same property ON THE BEACH as described and as it is advertised. They had us in a room across the busiest street in panama city. We have children and were not expecting to need to cross this main road in order to go to the "private beach" this hotel advertises. We saw 1 wreck and 4 pedestrians almost hit within 4 hours of being there. That should be something they tell you prior to booking! The rooms advertised as BEACH VIEW or NON beach view... there are rooms on both sides on the hotel ON THE BEACH. One would assume you are still located on beach but have a "street view". Shady advertising

FALSE advertising is the number 1 issue !!! What they show in the pictures when you make the reservation is NOT what you get. Beaware !!! They show you this nice hotel, by the beach, with nice pool and jacuzzi and when you get there you get sent across the street to this '50's style old motel type accomodations that are extremely dirty, with bugs, dirty conforters and sheets, mold all over in the bathroom and no towels. If you ask to talk with the manager, he's somehow "unavailable". Never ever will I step foot into this place !!!

This hotel is more a glorified motel than a beach resort. It caters to families that live within driving distance, even if that distance is 12 hours away. It was nice to have a kitchenette and direct beach access, the pool and pool area was well maintained. The beach is much quieter in this area than closer to the pier. But the rooms are very basic. There are only vending machine snacks on-site and no restaurants really in the area. The lady on the overnight shift that checked us out was so sweet and friendly, other than that every staff member we interacted with seemed annoyed and overwhelmed. Pro tip, if you can, bring your own beach/pool towels, the ones they offer are tiny and threadbare. There is no safe in the room for valuables.
