Loved having the private beach. 6 ppl in our group. Had 2 double beds and bunk beds. Room had Gulf and beach view. 2 pools available with chairs and lounge chairs. We changed our own bedding and towels. Bedding every other day and towels every day. I highly recommend this property for a perfect vacation! We will be returning!

Asked for towels for 3 days and never got them. Staff is just plain out rude. But that seems to be all of the hotels. They give you an ice bucket but you have to pay $7 for a bag of ice. Ac barely kept the room tolerable

Customer service was awful. The room was not very clean. The double bedded rooms are 2 full size beds, which does not sleep 4 people comfortably. We were not expecting everything to be perfect but the bed was broken and the pipes made an annoying sound when the shower was on. The exhaust fan made a screeching sound when you turned the bathroom light on. I am not sure if it was the a/c unit or what but there was a noise that kept us up most of the night, a noise that was very annoying. The towels left fuzz balls every where. We met the owner (by chance) and he paid for our meal at his restaurant that is located on the premises and it was fabulous. I was very disappointed with the lack of cleanliness of the room though. I desperately needed a relaxing vacation. I was very impressed by the owner and how quickly he reached out to try and make things right but I spent $700 for 3 nights (we did not arrive until midnight on the first night) and I didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth. We only met one friendly employee there during our stay. I am not a 100% sure that we will go back. It is also a pet friendly hotel and people were not cleaning up after their dogs😡 I wish I would have taken more pictures. There was also mold in the bathroom.

Not at all what we were expecting. Old, dirty, smelly, noisy. Asked to change rooms due to dogs barking, the smell of weed, and we were told we couldn’t switch and we couldn’t cancel or we’d lose our money. So we were stuck without any other choice.

The overall stay was good. The room was adequate for the six of us. Aside from the mattress on the bottom bunk being bad they quickly replaced it once we let them know. Front desk staff was ok,cafe staff was horrible. Prices were not displayed on the menu and when asked the attendant seemed irritated. Housekeeping and grounds staff were very nice. One of the pools wasn’t available but the next day it was. No umbrellas at the pool either. The location was great and beach access was a breeze. As I recall the website said beach chairs available but that was not the case. If you did not want room serviced there were no do not disturb signs it would have been something you request at check in. I will visit again because of the price and accessibility to the beach.

This was by far the worst experience we have ever had with staying at a hotel. Staff were rude and not accommodating at all. Our room reeked of weed, so we had to walk all the way back to the front desk to get keys for a new room. Were called by security (@ 1am) that we had ro move our trailer to an overflow parking which we were not informed of when checking in. When i called in the morning to extend our checkout time, they said I could pay and take care of it at 2pm when we check out, only to be called once we got halwlfway down the beach saying we had to pay then. Utterly ridiculous! I will never stay at The Boardwalk again. We come to this area multiple times a year but will never stay here again. And I will make sure everyone I know knows what a horrible experience we had and we would not recommend to anyone.

There were two pools one near our room was dirty and the they closed it the toilet was leaking the light bulb was out and the key card for the door would not stay working TV was small They said on the web site there was a free contininal breakfast that was not so. We left a day early to go home won't be back there on vacation!!!!!!

Being as fair as possible. The location is great, and the value is going to be in being on the beach for this price. The room was clean-ish when checking in, but due to the vinyl flooring, it holds so much moisture and dirt, so we had to wipe our feet before getting in and out of bed. The pools are dated but clean enough. Much of the exterior is worn down, even some of the ceiling of the breezeways peeling paint. The other upside is they allow larger dogs and only $20 a night per dog.
