Overall good, but…

Overall the stay was good but we had a few issues. 1st, the towels were a little thin and rough but we didn’t bring our own like we normally do. Then, for some unexplained reason, when we left the room and returned a couple hods later, our door was not shut completely. First time, we thought it was us. The SECOND TIME, I called the front desk. Nothing was missing but it was odd because housekeeping had not serviced the room. Then the water was shut off and we didn’t realize it until someone used the bathroom and couldn’t flush the toilet. Apparently there was a water leak and it had to be cut off to fix it but again we weren’t notified.

Nice place for the price on the beach! Wonderful views and beach access. Needs renovations. Soap dispenser was empty. TV did not work half the time. Telephone didn’t work at all. Used my cell phone to call front desk. Very noisy Friday night at midnight with fireworks going off. Lots of second hand smoke. But over all enjoyed our little get away.

I’ll say this first ,the staff at checkin were quick and efficient.The room was clean enough just wear shoes inside your room . But I won’t be staying here again. But if you like the bed to squeak every time you roll over , watch a tv with 4 lit dots in the center of the picture , a refrigerator that keeps your drink cool not ice cold , no hot water to bathe with and walls that are paper thin that you hear your neighbors fight all night verbally and physically then make up xxx but they fought publicly in the parking lot for an hour while everyone watched from all of our rooms and balcony, then this is the spot for you to stay.

Beware that you will get what you pay for! Entire night we couldn't sleep because people from other rooms shot fireworks from their balcony. People and kids ran around, talked, yelled, argued with each other on the hall ways every 30' - 1 hour from midnight until 6AM. Someone knocked continuously on our door at 5AM. When we told the receptionist, she said there is nothing she can do to avoid that. They really need to hire the security guards.

The property was a nice location for us. Not in the downtown busy area. Easy access to the Beach Back Road. Nice neiborhood behind the hotel to walk in and the beach was nice and clean. Overall, a very clean and comfortable room and bed. There were a couple of minor maintenance issues with the room but like a couple of resent stays elsewhere, not sure why housekeeping does not seem to let maintenance or at least someone know things need attention. We let the front desk know when we checked out. Since it is March, I liked the idea of a heated pool and hot tub, but the pool was a bit cool and the hot tub not very hot. We would stay there again if in the area.

Room with a beautiful view

The view was the reason to stay here. The property is older. The room was clean but had an overpowering smell of bleach. We tried to air out the room by keeping the door open but this was only possible because of the cooler weather.

Great place to stay for a great price! Rooms had some room for improvement on renovations. Specifically carpet seemed a bit old. Shower was tiny. Paint and drywall were poorly patched here and there. Elevators looked like they had been through WWI,WWII and a few other conflicts. Proximity to the beach was awesome. Cleanliness was good . Staff were friendly. Nice onsite bar to grab a drink .
