Bluegreen's Bayside Resort and Spa offers 150 accommodations with safes and coffee/tea makers. Beds feature premium bedding. 42-inch flat-screen televisions come with cable channels and pay movies. Originally when I checked in I was put in a building where the elevator was out of service, so we had to carry everything up the stairs to our room. When we got to our room it was not clean, no hot water, construction going on in the building and outside the building, the phone didn’t work to call front desk. I called from my cell and was told they couldn’t do anything. I called the main office and the next morning the moved my family to a different room. It was clean, elevator worked, hot water, etc. The pools were unable to be used still however. We won’t be staying here again, I appreciate that they moved us but it still should not have took the 5 phone calls to get it done, they should ensure elevators are working and rooms are cleaned prior to guest check in. After we were moved the experience was better but still not what we were expecting.

The property is undergoing a renovation and change of ownership/management (Hilton purchased the Bluegreen Property). Very unfortunately, none of that was disclosed on the Expedia listing for the property. There was 1 small pool, not 3 as listed on Expedia. 1 restaurant, w/ a small bar; 3 bars/lounges were listed. No poolside bar, as listed. On the last night of our stay, we had to be moved to another room due to construction issues. I was charged a $137 facilities fee which is laughable as the facilities were so limited!

Not as advertised. Construction was going and amenities advertised were not available or open. Restaurant shown on the water was torn down and being rebuilt. Both pools attached to the building under construction. Only restaurant there closed before posted times.

Falsely advertised! All outdoor attractions were under construction (pool, hot tub, outdoor bars, kayak rental…) onsite bar closed at seven pm. Our room over looking the bay was just overlooking construction of the private beach we did not have access to. Staff was very rude and unwilling to fulfill the few accommodations they did still offer, they did not clean our room once during stay, bathroom fan and toilet were broken. There was nothing within walking distance. So disappointed with our stay. We were advised by hotel management to take up reimbursement with Expedia.

Construction going on. Advertised 3 pools only 1 open for a large complex of hotel and time share guests. Paid for ocean view and could only see the water when standing in front of the slider and looking right, also door opens to a balcony that’s standing only. The room that’s advertised for ocean view with balcony wasn’t even at this hotel as far as we could see. Hallways, elevators dirty and dated. Rooms are dated as well.

Horrible, do NOT stay here

Hotel is set to be lovely, but was under construction we went. Every morning we were woken up by the sound of construction noise on the adjacent room. We were charged a resort fee for use of the resort facilities each day, but to the construction, none of the facilities are available to be used. There was no refund of the resort fee due to thisor acknowledgment of this with staff. To make matters worse, they double charged us. I had paid for everything except for a $100 property fee with the Hotels.com app in advance, and yet the hotel insists that we still owe them for the first night of our stay. Due to this, we are double charged and staff refuses to correct the issue. We had to contact our credit card company for a dispute and refund. The on-site bar and restaurant was closed before 8 PM, and advertised pool bar not available due to the construction. Food and beverages were terrible. Service was just OK at restaurant. After this experience, we did not use the hotel restaurant again. Would not recommend, do not stay here.

The hotel is close to the water and there is a lovely pier attached to the property. Parking is very convenient and there is easy access to tours like boat rides right from the property. Golf and tennis are available close by. These are all the positives. The downside is the property is undergoing major renovations. That might be nice when it is all done, but not if you are trying to enjoy your stay. They did not clean the room or make the bed. When we checked in, none of the lights besides the bathroom lights worked. Maintenance came out and was able to fix most of them. The WiFi and cable didn’t work for over 48 hours of our stay. There was no running water for an entire day at least 8 am - 5 pm. If we had known there wouldn’t be running water, we would have all taken showers ahead of time but there was no advanced notice. When the front desk said they had water available, I thought they might hand each guest a gallon of water to brush teeth, wash your face and hands, maybe even add water to flush a toilet. Imagine my surprise when the front desk handed me one small water bottle per person. The lady told me the water was out for the entire County - which was a lie. The water was out in a small geographic area because of planned work. This could have been communicated to the guests in advance. There is so much construction going on, it made it difficult to walk between construction projects and cement being poured. Work went late into the evening.

The private beach is the size of my living room. Got here and immediately booked another hotel. It was so awful it was funny. Like im not even mad, I got a good laugh out of it

I don’t even know where to begin. For starters, just wasn’t a comfortable place to be. The property is undergoing construction/ renovation which didn’t help. The rest I will sum up with this statement, the place was a total waste of money.

First and last Resort I will spend my money on!!!!

I was highly disappointed because my boyfriend and I drove 2 hours to enjoy our romantic getaway for the weekend. The customer service was great but when we arrived to our room I was upset because I specifically booked that room just to have the bay scenery but instead we seen the overgrown bushes. The temperature in the shower was cold and some of the outlets wasn't working. We called the front desk for new towels but they didn't answer the phone so I had to purchase my own towels from Walmart . I didn't have a problem with the construction site.

When booking this stay at this property, the only thing that was mentioned was that there would be a possible noise during the day for construction. the entire first floor was boarded up. you could not enjoy the view at all when dining, working out, sitting at the fire in the lobby, etc. our room had no hot water in the sink, the shower had brown water, the refrigerator did not work, the carpet was disgusting, there was BLOOD on the corner of the boxspring. It was late when we arrived and we were tire, we dealt with it that first night. I asked for a different rm, &we were moved to a ply wood boarded up view for the remainder of our trip!!! QUITE UNHAPPY DISPEASED CUSTOMER!!! no bay view, which is what I requested and neither of our 2 rooms looked anythning like the online pictures! quite deceiving!
