I really want to like the Saddle Back, but the employees are rude. The facilities need an upgrade. I wish someone would invest in the property. It would be a cool place to stay if the front desk staff and housekeepers were customer service trained.

From other reviews, we knew that this was an older hotel. I still was not expecting the furniture to look like it had been rescued from a dump--the bedside tables and 'desk' had lots of paint missing, gouges, and looked awful. There was only a very thin blanket on the bed, when I called front desk to ask for an extra blanket, was informed they couldn't get me one. If you do stay here, bring along your own shampoo, conditioner, lotion......none was provided. Also take along extra towels and wash cloths--there was only 1 washcloth and 1 hand towel for 2 people staying in the room, thankfully they did have 2 bath towels, so we didn't have to share those. Also suggest that you bring your own notepad and pen for if you need to jot anything down, as none was provided. No light by the desk, so had to sit on the bed to do any business things. If you are thinking to go to the restaurant for buffet dinner, check first if they actually have a buffet that evening. One good thing is that the room was smoke free.

Depends what you are looking for....

While cheap compared to other Pahrump hotels, it is more expensive and not as good as hotels in other towns we have stayed. It is a very tired property. Just soap in the bathroom. No shampoo. Threadbare small towels. Cracked tiles and walls, creaky floors, bad sound proofing, noisy heating, stained and worn out shower/tub and basin, leaking toilet, chipped furniture, drawers kept opening, very tired matress and one thin blanket. Housekeeping every other day (we were told as we checked out after our two night stay). Saving grace is the friendly staff. If you want one of the less expensive hotels in Pahrump with reasonably priced buffet and helpful staff, this is it. If you are looking for comfort and quality, meuh...

I have nothing but positive things to say except that what should’ve been a refund in the security deposit in 24-72 hours turns into two weeks. Otherwise it was a great experience, buffet was amazing food, friendly staff and very pretty hotel grounds.
