I had booked a room threw Expedia for the Canalta in Oyen Alberta, the price was $161.00 a night before taxes, $180 after taxes. When checking in to the location, the Canalta charges me $178 before tax, 200 after tax. Then argues that expedia messed up the charges, even after I show them the itinerary. So I contacted Expedia, they also say the price is correct even after I show them the itinerary. As a gold member I am super disappointed that Expedia and canalta can change the rates as the please. A deal is a deal. And they both scammed me out of my deal. It’s not a lot of money but if they did this to all of their customers, we are talking thousands of dollars. Guess that’s how the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor.

This was a great hotel to stay in. The lobby was clean and inviting. The check-in was easy, and the staff were very nice - greetings with a smile and pleasantries. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the room ambiance was very pleasing. Nicely decorated. WiFi was great - nice speed. The breakfast was excellent - with a good variety of both hot and cold choices. The only downside was the vending machines. The one on the main floor was "sold out" and the one on the second floor wouldn't take our money. I'd certainly stay at the hotel again!
