Smelly room - Sketchy at night
The gentleman working night shift was incredibly kind and apologized before we even saw the state of the room. He was the ONLY person working and the cleaning staff walked out the same day. With that said, the room was ok. Sheets were clean and beds were comfy and there were plenty of clean linens in the bathroom. The room however smelled like dog and stale cigarettes. The floor had the previous persons hair ties and loose change on it. The location of the hotel is a little sketch at night as well. In a pinch, it was "ok" ... we survived but when booking, I read the reviews and saw an 8.2 rating. I'd give it a 5 at best.

Clean room but we did notice 2 different types of insects in the room. Hotel was right off of the interstate which was nice but the noise from traffic was noticeable and I felt like we were in a bad part of town. Lots of traffic.

Have stayed here several times over the years. This time the property was showing its age, and needs some attention to the details: bathroom floor was very dirty, black hairs woven into the bedspread, the toilet kept running all weekend but couldn't be fixed because "no one is available on the weekends". (Nor did they offer to move me to a new room even though rooms were available). Dinged up door frames, stained carpets, laminate on elevator paneling peeling away, parking lot/driveway broken up by the front door, etc. Breakfast was good, and staff were polite, and it's conveniently located with easy access to I-55.

The Hotel was an okay place to stay for an overnight. It could use some upgrades especially in the Bathroom and the cooling system. We recorded the sound it made on our phones. It sounded like an aircraft taxi to the gate when it started to run. Not an easy thing to sleep with all night. I’m pretty sure they knew it was an issue because the filters were out of the unit and laying on top when we arrived. We replaced them. Too late and too tired to complain.
