Very Good

This hotel room does have a bathroom. It has a bed and a TV. It has 2 coat hooks and 2 coat hangers. It doesn't have:
a closet
a dresser
a telephone
a refrigerator
a chair
a desk
a table
any lamps
any cups or glasses
wash cloths
hand towels.
It is, however, inexpensive and clean.
- I knew we’d be arriving after midnight. I was given a phone and an email to let the hotel know I called many times and sent an email without any response.
- we arrived Sunday night after midnight. I have booked two twin rooms and they could only see one room in my reservation. After showing my confirmations and giving our names they still couldn’t see a second room.
- So I had to pay for another room however after I paid they checked again and found found my other room. But they said they couldn’t cancel my payment so they asked me to wait until the next day when the manager comes to do the cancellation on the refund. Also when I paid for this extra room the guy at reception had to take my card details manually despite having the contactless terminal… v odd!
- Then we went to our rooms, 154 and 156. But when we went to room 156 we opened the door with the door key and there was someone sleeping inside! The man was really scared when we opened the door so I had to go down tell about this situation get another room which we got and only then we could go on sleep.
- this incident really concerned me as I couldn’t feel safe staying there.
- By then we have spent almost 45 minutes trying to check in and getting the keys and on the proper rooms.
I understand this is an easy hotel and it’s meant to be small and just to sleep but the rooms are very, very small. It’s almost impossible to move around and you can only wake up from the bed to go to the toilet. That’s all you can do.
Just a bit too basic for me. A kettle isn’t too much to ask for. Or a hair dryer. Rooms are small which is fine and reception is friendly.
You have to pay checkout past 10 and pay for hot water at reception. Parking is £15 a day. Dogs have to be under a certain size. It’s the EasyJet experience for the night. Not for me.
I received an email that a £5 charge per back for leaving luggage would apply, that if extra???cleaning was requested, there would be a charge! Why would extra cleaning be required? Not even a plastic cup for a drink of water in the room/bathroom. A tiny side window. Just awful.
Really good value basic hotel in Oxford. The rooms are very small but comfortable. With a nice bathroom and good power outlets and usb by the bed.
There’s no table so it’s not really a room you can do much work in but it’s quiet and I had a good nights sleep
It’s not in the city centre so you’d need to take into account getting a bus - but it’s easy to get to and the summertown area is lovely with lots of shops and cafes

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
This hotel was small and cosy. Everything was accessible and i would stay there again. It was close
This place was basically a hostel with its own bathroom.
No closet (four hangers on the wall), no dresser, no desk or chair. Just a bed. No place to put luggage. I would have had to spend a week living out of my suitcase on the floor. No iron, no ironing board. An iron would have to be borrowed from the front desk.
I check out in less than an hour after checking in after midnight to find another hotel.
I also sent a email to the company and Cc Hotel.com about the experience as boarding in “misinformation by exclusion” about how stripped down the room was.
Everything would have to be done on the bed. Also the price was not competitive for the inconvenience. For about $200 more total for the week, I checked into a hotel with all the basic accoutrements expected in a hotel room.
In my 30-years of travel this was the first time I’ve walked away from a hotel, and I’ve stayed in some yucky places. But I was risking walking away for a non-refundable $800+ reservation because that room was not going to be workable for a week long stay.
I felt sorry for the two young women at reception. They were very professional and as helpful as possible.
The rooms are tiny, you'll struggle to swing a gerbil let alone a cat in the rooms! None of the sockets worked in the room and had to be reported to reception. Twice! So, no power to charge phones, watches etc. Whilst the big towels were lovely, one hand towel would have been welcome. The shower gel was quite nice though.
Parking is very limited and we ended up parking on the road and in P&D car parks quite a walk away
It was clean and staff when I arrived was very cordial and helpful
Coffee in the room would be great

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The room is tiny with NOWHERE to put your things. Our room didn’t even have hooks on the wall but apparently the other rooms do.
I didn’t realise when I booked you have to pay for parking so watch out for that.
On the up side the room was very clean, good bed, nice cotton sheets and eco friendly. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice area.
