An upgrade and a much needed clean are required.
The room itself was lovely at first glance. The more you explore the less lovely it became. It was warm and comfortable but the cleanliness needs an upgrade. We saw a few ants in the bathroom. There were a lot of crumbs in the fridge door and in different areas of the room. A long black hair in the queen bed. The closet door in one of the bedrooms is broken. The doors haven’t been wiped in awhile …I used a cloth and some soap and cleaned the doors. The room could definitely use some upgrades. There are stains on several of the doors. The fireplace glass and the insert itself could use a good cleaning. Interesting that the screen door was partially open and the patio door was unlocked. The hot tub was not available for use due to what we were told was a breaker problem from the storm….hmmmm. We tried to use the pool but what we discovered was a very large ant problem and they had to shut the pool down so although we were looking forward to taking a dip it wasn’t going to happen this day. This is a superior room for the size but that’s all. If the holiday inn had been available we would have drove right by the super 8. The location is the highlight. Rachel was very friendly at check-in.

It wasn't bad for the price.
It was an ok stay. I was a little irritated after a long drive to get there to find out they did not take the only form of credit card I had. I had to go hunt out cash as they did not have an ATM in their lobby. The room was ok, except that I did not realize the door did not fully shut the first time. It looked like it was closing so I walked away and when I came back it was open. So that was not good. The outside door in the rear isn't locked either so anyone can walk in. The beds were comfortable though and it was clean. Although there was a smell I couldn't quite figure it out when you walked into the building. Breakfast was decent enough and what you would expect which was ultimately the reason I booked this hotel over another that did not have breakfast. It was fine for what it was and the staff was nice. I just was unhappy at the check in which left me a bit jaded for the rest of the stay.

Solid choice!
Its a good hotel for a fair price. Comfy bed, nice tv, good pool, decent continental breakfast. There is a Boston Pizza next door with lovely bar staff. Would stay again!

We woke up to being bitten by bedbugs. Blood stains on sheets and dark marks on sheets. Had bed bug on pillow.They did refund us and offered to wash our clothes which we had them do. We threw away all or suitcases and went and bought plastic tubs to put our washed clothes in. This delayed our trip and was very inconvenient and extra cost. Would never stay here again.
