We stayed here during the Spartan Canada race weekend. This place was fantastic! Check in was smooth, employees were friendly and helpful when we had questions. I personally like that no one would be cleaning the room every day unless it was requested in advance. I felt more comfortable leaving my gear out when we weren't in the room. Room had a working microwave, fridge, TV. We were literally right there in a plaza which was awesome. Many activities and dining options with within walking distance. Cons: Internet wifi kicked our devices off frequently which was annoying. Bathroom didn't have washclothes. Couch was about as firm as a boulder slab. Not all rooms are created equal. Some of them looked much nicer and were probably more expensive options. One even had stairs in it. Will definitely consider coming back. :)

What is the Evacuation Protocol??? The reception guest agents are very cold, unreceptive, unhappy, blank, blatant, unresponsive and uninviting for a resort staff. They do not make you feel welcomed. The room smell like moldy carpet. There was a fire alarm on Oct 24, security banged on the suite doors to evacuate, we all waited outside in the cold and no one gave an update. The next day at 430am, I didn’t sleep due to the incident, I went to reception to ask for hot chocolate only to be mocked and the male receptionist raised his voice (check the video) was yelling at me and even when I said it’s all good said that we are following safety first. The evacuation plan was for the guests to stand infront of the entrance of the Grand Georgian in the cold? There was no meet up location and people were seeking warmth on the engine of the fire truck parked at the front of the hotel. How was this safe?

The only thing that I thought needed to be improved was the fact that there was no wifi and the tv was floating in the wall too far away and badly angled to watch in bed. Perhaps it should have been placed on a dresser and then you could angle it to the sitting area or the bed. Being fixed on the wall was very strange and disappointing.
