Historical clean but some issues
Free parking lot out front. Very well preserved historical elements but great air conditioning and clean. Service was hit or miss as there is no dedicated desk position. Lots of noise from adjoining room due to thin door with large gap beneath. Would stay again.

Choose here and i doubt youll regret the choice. Bar and restaurant downstairs and food snd drinks both can be brought up to your room. For small towns in Iowa very frw have an original hotel built over 100 years ago is still standing and suprisingly nice. Service from restaurant can be great or sloe depending on whos working.

Business trip in Centerville
This is a historic hotel in Centerville Iowa. It was very clean, had a desk area, and a small kitchen area. There was ample room to unpack clothes. The wifi worked great! There was a comfortable armchair in the room. During my stay, there were very few guests in the hotel. The floors squeak every time someone moves, and you can hear them from rooms away. The TV in my room had just been updated to a Roku TV, without any live/local or cable channel offerings, so I was not able to unwind with favorite shows in the evening. The bathroom sink is a pedestal sink, and some storage on a narrow shelf above the toilet. Getting hair and face care completed in the morning was a bit of a shuffle. Overall this is a decent hotel.
