It was just ok. Nice enough - small, modern apartment type room. But missing a few things (Eg, no full-length mirror in my room). And apartment style (I think) means no housekeeping…when travelling, I like someone else to make the bed, LOL. There was a coffee maker but, because no housekeeping, the supplies were never refilled so I could only use it once. (A colleague told me there is a way to request housekeeping but I never figured it out.) Everything is done by app / on your phone, so if your phone dies it’s a problem. This happened to me because I shut all the lights before bed, not realizing that one of the switches controlled the power, so I had no phone in the morning and couldn’t leave my room until I had a charge. These little things were irritating. I’d probably look for a hotel next time.

We stayed for a week in Sondar. The staff was helpful and when we have questions and messaged them. The staff responded very quickly. The room is a reasonable size for us. Kitchen is functional. We had a good stay. Probably will be back next time when we are in Ottawa.

Our first time stay at The Sonder but hopefully not last. It was beyond our expectations with everything needed for a weeks stay. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Views were lovely and easy to walk everywhere, or e-scooter or cab.

Very well-situated hotel. Easy check-in and check-out. Room was pretty clean except for the carpets that looked a bit worn and some mold starting in the shower area. Nice ground coffee, which I appreciated. Kitchen was very clean with all the essentials to heat up a basic meal.

My stay here was awesome but the customer service here was terrible. For anyone who is considering booking here keep in mind you will need to check in online including a facial scan and document scan. When I had trouble and asked if I would be able to check in in the hotel I was told there was no reception (there was indeed a staffed reception desk). The stay itself was nice though the codes or app required to get into all parts of the hotel is a hassle and I was constantly worried about my phone dying and being locked out since there isn’t a buzzer outside or direct view of the reception. All in all I wouldn’t do it again but I enjoyed my stay nonetheless.

I enjoyed this property very much. Easy access to most places. One major issue is cleanliness, everything looks great on the surface. The bathroom tub and shower and toilet needs more attention. The grout is growing spots of black and orange mold in the grout and the corners. No attention to cleaning the tiles or the grout. The floors left my friends white socks black. I would say they have not been washed in quite a while.
