We enjoyed a lovely Christmas Dinner of turkey and all the fixings in the hotel restaurant "Spin Kitchen and Bar". The staff were aware of our allergies and were very helpful in choosing the safe foods to eat. The seafood chowder was great! The staff of the hotel were also very friendly and helpful.

We extended our stay from a previous reservation and everything was handled within 2 minutes with a very helpful representative. We didn't even have to leave our room. We were disappointed that the restaurant was not open throughout the day during any of our stay. We attended a hockey game on New Year's Eve, hoping to return to the hotel for a drink at midnight but were disappointed to discover the bar was not open. We had asked for a late check out on New Year's Day but when we needed an extra few minutes, the representative at the front desk told us we had 15 minutes or we were going to be charged for another day. Everything during our stay was good, but this left a bad last impression of the hotel and we question whether we will return.

There was a bagel left in my fridge and there was no coffee or creamer for the coffee. I basically had to grab a couple out of the housekeeping bin in the morning. I was charged twice for parking once by Expedia and once by the hotel when I left.

Our stay was a disappointment. Despite our reservation saying they had free parking, we laid out well over $50 on parking charges. We had housekeeping show up at our door at 9:13am on Sunday, and when we sent them away, they didn’t come back later. No water bottles were in our hotel room, and the cooler on our floor was left bone dry. What capped it off was that when we checked out, the staff didn’t ask me how my stay was. This will be our last stay at the downtown Marriott.
