It was really hot in the room and you were unable to adjust the heat the windows opened slightly to offset. There were people screaming and partying at all hours of the night in courtyard to our room that made it really hard to sleep

Excellent location and great value for money accomodation right in the heart of Oslo. Rooms can be a little tight and the warmth of shower water not totally amazing, but overall great value.

Zero front desk, check-in is through a monitor which prints your room key. Very confusing main floor but found our room. For the cost this room was sub-par, no closet (a few hangers on a metal pipe provided), no tv and the shower had no amenities only 2 towels and 1 hand towel. Our shower flooded so badly that all towels were needed to keep water from flowing out into the room (the sink also backed up). Very hot inside with a window that could be cracked for air but the street noise made it impossible to keep open. We complained in the morning at the “host office” and left for the day to explore. We returned at 4pm to find the bathroom exactly as how we left it!!! We promptly checked out and went to a Radisson Blu for the same cost and were very happy with our decision. Citybox was more like a hostel to us and other than location it offers nothing. We do not recommend this hotel!

Highly automated but staff were available if you had questions. Room was compact, clean and the bed was really comfortable. Loved the skylight! The public area could be better maintained. The toilets were not very clean with overflowing bins. When using the laundry we reported some ponding of water on the floor. This had not been remedied when we returned an hour and a half later.

The ease of checking yourself in was quick and easy. This facility felt more like a hostel than a hotel but we didn't mind. I wish we would have had a fridge in our hotel room but other than that, everything was great. The cafe was also a nice touch and convenient to grab a pastry and coffee before heading out for our day.

I stayed in Citybox Bergen right before coming to Oslo, compared to Oslo one, Bergen’s is much better, newer and cleaner. Oslo one is quite aged, both the room and the lobby/ common area. Many flies in the common area and I feel it’s not clean. The fridge is full and unorganised, my food was rearranged by someone else which make me difficult to find( the packaging was removed for some reasons). The bathroom design is not user friendly, the door was designed to be closed which the ventilation is not good and created some smell.The sink is suitable for hand wash only, it’s even not big enough for washing face. The bed is comfortable but there’s some weird noise at night, I need to play music to cover it. In general, it’s ok coz great location, but there’s lots of room to improve the cleanliness and facilities of the building.
