A quick over night visit for work. Nothing special here but room offered a nice view of the lake and there was a lovely fire place in the lobby.

Great beds

At first we were disappointed that the hot tub was closed, but the temperature of the large indoor/outdoor pool was so warm it was very nice and relaxing. Bedding & mattress were comfortable and we had a restful night’s sleep.

Mold/mildew around tub, mattress had no support, faucet required major struggle to turn on, faucet turned to cold HOT water came out, had to wait almost 5 minutes for cold water. The lock would work inconsistently. Witnessed same issue with lock next room. Will be looking for other accommodations if in the area again

Hotel needs a major renovation

The experience with personnel at the front desk and the dining room was excellent. What I didn't like was the lack of proper amenities in the room. The lighting was poor, there was only one nightstand so I couldn't plug in my cell phone and the charger for my hearing aids anywhere near me and the pillows were too thick and very hard. I doubt very much that we will go back there next year for the annual State Band concert. Also, the food left something a lot to be desired. We had a party of 7 and one person ordered a filet. It didn't look like a filet, it didn't cut like a filet and it didn't taste like a filet. We were excited to see a Mayfair salad on the menu. However, it was overdressed with the Mayfair dressing.

The resort lodge was nice. However, they placed us in a room in an adjacent building. The furniture was worn, the room was outdated, the bathtub was hard to turn on and when it did, black water flowed into the tub. The air conditioner/heater woke us up several times through the night with loud noises. We did not expect a room like this at the Four Seasons.

The property felt a bit old, especially our room. The staff was accommodating. A bit of a slow area but close enough to the action nearby. I went during off-season and was able to get a huge room for a great price. There is fishing within walking distance.
