Our overall stay at the Renaissance in Daytona Beach was decent, especially considering the premium price per night. The decor and cleanliness throughout the hotel were topnotch modern, stylish, and very well maintained. That said, there were a few issues that impacted our experience. In our room, the mini fridge did not cool at all, which was inconvenient. The $40 per night valet parking felt steep, especially since the process was somewhat chaotic. Valet attendants had to retrieve vehicles from across the street, leading to occasional backups and delays. The onsite restaurant was beautifully decorated and had a lovely ambiance. Unfortunately, they appeared to be very short staffed, resulting in long wait times during breakfast service. Finally, as a family friendly hotel, there were quite a few children around which is expected. However, kids tossing a ball over the heads of adults trying to relax did take away from the peaceful atmosphere. Overall, it’s a visually impressive hotel with potential for a great experience, but a few operational improvements would make a big difference.

I would like to specifically point out the very helpful and professional gentleman who checked me in for my stay. I came in very tired and stressed out after a terrible day and was very unpleasant when walking in. The very professional Z was so helpful and courteous even though I started off rude and unpleasant to him. After a few minutes of his professionalism we both ended up having a very much needed laugh with a fist bump and a brief hug. He made my night so much better by looking past my stress and staying cool and professional. The crew and property is unmatched.

The hotel suite Room 722 was amazing with a beautiful balcony view of the ocean. The hotel was very clean and upscale. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very large.

We had great time with our family of 4. We got upgraded to an ocean front room which was great. The only thing that was not convenient was parking. There was no parking garage on the property however there was a valet service when needed. All and all had a great experience.
