Great Hotel
Great hotel in a great area. Only drawback is that they only clean rooms every other day. So if you are there for two nights they will not clean or change towels. You must call down and ask for fresh towels. I would still recommend this hotel.

Disappointing stay and a not inexpensive resort!
I accept that the hotel has an "every other day" policy related to housekeeping for guest rooms. Our room was missed or skipped on our assigned day, so I called the desk well before they were done for the day. I was told my room would be put in the queue for cleaning. When I returned to my room later in the evening, it had still not been touched. I called again the very next morning and was again told we'd be attended too, even though it wasn't our day! Seriously - you see I called previously! Later in the day I returned to find a bag of towels and other items dropped on the floor - bed still unmade, trash overflowing, etc. Completely disappointed! At that point, I needed to get ready for dinner and didn't want to be disturbed!

Very nice hotel, lots of amenities included (even a Universal store in the lobby for those last minute souvenir purchases!). The pool areas are quite nice as well. The only negatives I can say is that there is some regular wear and tear in the rooms, which is to be expected, but it also wasn't enough to really negatively impact my stay (for example the bathroom door had water damage on it). The food court was a really nice touch and a great time saver too, so easy to just head down there to grab a quick bite. It was a bit pricey, but I think that is to be expected with any on-site hotel like this. We never had to wait very long for our shuttles to/from the park, it was always incredibly smooth transition. Would definitely stay here again.

Our room was clean but the shower head barely worked. Having come back from a late night at the park I decided to wait till morning to call. The next morning I called the front desk and explained which they replied they would send someone out to check it. I never got word if they came but we used the shower as is. We saw no difference if they did come out. To add more issues the drain in the sink gurgled so loud it woke us up in the middle of the night. I took a video of this and seriously I was waiting for it to erupt outta there. Needless to say I was not impressed nor happy with the accommodations. I have stayed with them at least 6 times and never had these issues.

Second time at Cabana Bay Resort. We like the rooms and overall cleanliness of the resort. Variety of food at the diner for a few days but get tired of pizza, burger, and chicken options; especially when those are the options at the parks. Easy to park at the resort and just use the Universal park buses to go over to City Walk and Universal. Easy walk to the resort guest entrance at Volcano Bay. Early entry to the parks is a great perk also!
