cockroaches! BEWARE! I honestly don’t know how this hotel has an 8.2 out of 10! had an 8 night stay booked, upon entering the hotel I knew I went too cheap. Once we got to the room it was small but we didn’t mind I went looking around and right away could see that NO money is spent on the upkeep of the hotel. Yes they updated the outside but Inside was down right unacceptable.The inside of the shower facet and grab bar were extremely corroded, the bed sheets were so old they had that roughness with the little balls that come from being old and used and washed thousands of times, the beds were otherwise clean. All the furniture is extremely scuffed, and carpets are dirty etc..COCKROACHES EXPLAINED! On the 6th night I got up to go to the bathroom and saw something small run across the floor and stopped by the bottom of the outside of the shower, I immediately killed it and saw it was a small roach. I didn’t see anymore and thought ohh god now we have roaches and didn’t sleep the rest of the night. The next morning we had to leave to go to Disney, when we got back to the room at 9pm when we walked into our room we saw a big one above our bed. I screamed and said I’m leaving now! My husband killed it with his shoe.We pack in a matter of mins and checked out ASAP! I told the front desk Gloria, she immediately said ohh o I’m so sorry I will refund you 3 nights, she asked for my card and after looking into my account said you booked non refundable and we can’t issue any refund.

Ideal location

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location was ideal, especially for Disney-goers. The customer service was top-notch - the staff were friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. While the hotel may be a bit dated, it didn't detract from my overall experience. I found my stay to be great value and would definitely recommend it to others.

If i could share pictures, i would. There were blood stained blankets, some other stains on both comforters, and hairs with follicles on every single sheet. One of the beds had pills all over the sheet too. I stayed somewhere else. It felt gross, and didnt look like the pictures.

This is a really good off property discount hotel. Rooms are older but clean and comfortable. Staff is pleasant. Would stay again if I need a last minute place to crash. Heads up, breakfast is no longer offered despite Orbitz indicating such. If you park in the back at night, there’s no fence between the hotel and the forest so keep your phone flashlight as you might get stalked by a raccoon or two.

Run down, but comfortable and affordable

The good: the bed was clean and comfortable, the A/C worked, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Located next to a 24/7 McDonald’s which made breakfast easy and convenient. Was an affordable and safe hotel. The bad: basically everything else. It’s a run down, poorly designed crammed room, in a hotel that’s not really near Disney “main gate” despite the misleading name - it’s a 15-min uber ride to Disney, so still relatively close. They didn’t clean the rooms for a three night stay, we had no supplied or towels replenished, nothing cleaned. They don’t have Tea onsite, just coffee for the room coffee maker, and we ran out. Coulda probably asked front desk for more but with a busy Disney schedule there’s little time for trying to ask the hotel staff for special treatment.

Love Destiny Palms! Have stayed there several times. Comfortable beds, clean, friendly staff. Owner is a great guy. I accidentally lost my medication there when packing to leave. They found it. They called us and sent a message but we were on a cruise so I didn't get them. He held it for a few days and still had it for me when I got off the ship. Went back and picked it up now im good to go..

Cheap and comfortable stay

It was an affordable and comfortable place to stay, conveniently located next to a McDonald's and within a short walking distance of other dining options. Parking was easy, making it a practical and budget-friendly choice for a family stay.

I enjoyed my stay here. place is not new, but is well maintained. People that work here were all nice and helpful. For me they did room service every other day, I guess that is the policy there.

This hotel is tucked in on the back of a McDonalds with poor lighting which makes it very difficult to find, specially if you are coming late at night. There is not curb appeal at all, which made me wonder if I had made the right decision by picking this place to spend a night. Surprisingly, the inside was vey nice for such of a low budget hotel and the room was vey clean, with very comfortable bed and pillows and nice furniture. I just wanted to mention that I was a little bit upset with this gentleman behind the front desk counter, who seemed to be a manager or supervisor. I came to the counter just before I left to inform the front desk lady about a small leak in the bathroom and noticed how he was talking to her. He made her feel so uncomfortable in front of the guests that I felt so sorry for her. That poor lady was trying to do her job, and even if he thought she was not being very helpful or competent, that was not the place to talk to her in such a meaningful way. He was arrogant and despicable. I would stay in this hotel again for sure. I just hope they find better management! All employees deserve respect!
