We checked in during the middle of the night because of our flight. Staff was friendly and room appeared clean. Beds were comfortable. HOWEVER, a few hours later, during a bathroom trip, we saw a roach. We saw 2 more cockroaches before we could get checked out. We were only there a few hours.

I stayed at this hotel because my kid is in a "stay to play" tournament. Never would I have booked this hotel on a regular day. The room was nice and clean. They offer housekeeping only every 3 days. The breakfast area isn't large enough to host the influx of people they have coming in the hours of breakfast. I came down at 9am and breakfast is until 930. Part of my group had to stand. The waffle mix was out and when I asked for more the response was "it takes 20 minutes to make and breakfast is almost over. That's what you get for waiting until the last minute." The yogurts were out. The fresh fruits were out. Very limited. When I called ahead to discuss my booking the receptionist was inconvenienced and sounded rude. For 200 bucks a night this was a terrible experience. Never again will I stay here and should never apply to be a "stay to play" location. If you're just looking for a quick in and out stay .. it works, but you can definitely find better deals and nicer locations for the price I paid.

It’s next to a Cracker Barrel, which we love! Also next to a major interstate, which was a little noisy for people unused to traffic noise.

Waiting 3 days for room to be serviced is a bit much. I found this out because after my second night (I had a 4 night stay) I asked the tenant up front if my room could be serviced, she very rudely said “rooms are serviced on the 3rd day”. Hands in her pocket the whole time and no eye contact. Everyone else was very polite. And aside from that, property is clean.

Good place to stay when you need a place to stay before or after for the Sanford airport. Not very glamorous but good location and offered free shuttle to airport.

Our plane was delayed multiple times from New Orleans. Called hotel to up date once we landed at 4.am. Asked to cancel room due to plane issues in New Orleans because or terrorist attack. Property wouldn't even discuss options.

They currently have ongoing construction which is great because the property is in desperate need of repairs. In one of our rooms the ac didn’t work. The maintenance man came promptly into the room and acknowledged the unit wasn’t working correctly but they didn’t switch the room out.

A Little Surprised
I read a lot of reviews before I booked. This hotel had a high rating and lots of great reviews, which is a good thing. However I was a bit taken back because I think I was expecting better facilities. I want to give an honest assessment of our experience. The customer service is great! Lots of smiles and attentiveness. The airport shuttle was a super amenity that was run quite efficiently. (FYI: Taxi’s are very expensive, so the shuttle was much appreciated!) We didn’t have breakfast, but it looked like a normal hotel breakfast experience. We really liked the coffee machine in the lobby… hot coffee all day. Cracker Barrel and Outback are walking distance. The hotel is run down. Not fancy but also worn out in some ways such as the couch in the room that had a big dip in the middle and the bed that squeaked. As far as cleanliness, the tub has stained and our floors were very dirty. Maybe they were extra busy and just missed the fact that they didn’t clean them, but they weren’t cleaned. I got a washcloth and tried to clean up the areas where we were going to walk in the most. Overall, there aren’t many choices near the airport, so this one fit the bill. In a nutshell, now that I have a better expectation, I’d stay again and would recommend it.
