The best part of our visit was the check-in process with Johnny. Very professional and informative! The worst part of our visit was the bed bugs we found not once but twice. We arrived March 8th and stayed in room 323. We were there for the Elton John tribute concert. The room wasn’t overly fresh or clean-very dated but oh well. We checked in, changed and got ready. I noticed a strange bug on one of the pillows and took a google shot of it-bed bug. We pulled apart both beds, cushions, drawers EVERYTHING! Nada. I thought it was maybe just a random thing. We went on our merry way. After the concert we got back and layed on our bed. A small bug scurried past us and that was it. I actually took a video. We packed our bags and checked out. At the front desk (it was 11:45pm) we checked out. I discreetly told the “night auditor” about our situation. He didn’t offer any compensation or even a surprise or sorry. Exact words, “Oh that’s not good” and we turned in our key and left. I asked what I needed to do to get our 225.00 back for the room. He said I needed to go through Expedia where I originally booked. We found a hotel down the road with clean sheets and it was such a relief. Expedia told me that I needed to speak to the hotel in order to get our money back. I’m so disappointed. One bug-disgusting but ok-I’m not a diva. Two bugs across a pillow -absolutely not ok. We’ve stayed here before 3 years ago but our most recent visit was our last.

Night getaway

Start off with pictures definitely make room look a lot better, are fireplace didn’t work very well cold barley tell it was working, very small balcony with a old run down chair on it to sit in. Other than that bed was comfortable and plenty of options on tv to watch from cable to Netflix. Customer service was nice.

Scammers

Avoid this chain at all costs. Booked and paid for a stay at the Surftides Complex in Lincoln City, then received an email (with an attached e-doc) that they wanted me to sign before they gave me the check in info. The e-doc that they wanted me to sign waived all my RIGHTS to sue them if I got hurt on their property and it was their fault. I declined. They said too bad, we're keeping your $$$ b/c I was outside the window of cancellation, which I was NEVER in b/c I just made the reservation!

We were so hopeful about our stay here. The location is amazing and they even let us check in early which was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the condition of the room. There were ants all over the bathroom counter and the bathroom light flickered for about 10 minutes before it would work. Additionally, the sheets had several tears and the skirt of the bed was duct taped in one corner. When getting ready to head out, we realized our car battery had died. It was a group of 4 women, one of which was 30 weeks pregnant. At a loss of what to do, we went to the lobby to ask if there was anyone that could give us assistance in jumping the vehicle or if the hotel had jumper cables. The staff told us they couldn’t help us because it was a liability which was extremely disappointing. At this point, we had already checked out of our room so we had to sit in a cold car while we tried to figure out what to do. Eventually we got the help we needed but extremely disappointed that the hotel couldn’t lend any helping hand.

Lots to be desired.

Check in took quite a bit of time, was given wrong information regarding restaurant and hours, as well as not being aware of winter hours for restaurants and during the week closures. The bed was pretty lumpy, ocean front view was amazing. Bathroom left a lot to be desired. My husband I’m who is 6” was unable to shower due to the low ceilings and tub. Pool was decent. But will likely not stay here again and will try another beachfront hotel.
