Little gem of a motel in Old Saybrook.

Very good basic hotel in a nice town. Room was clean and had everything you would need for a traveler. I had a late arrival due to traffic and the check in clerk contacted me to ask about my status. He was very nice and helpful. Motel offers no food service, but there is a very nice breakfast spot across the street. Definitely would stay again.

Water system was backed up so we could only use a limited amount of water. Coudn't shower.

On arrival, manager informed us that the sewar is backed from someone stuffing 'things' in the toilet. Needless to say we didn't stay and they agreed to refund.

I've stayed at lots of hotels in Old Saybrook and this is my favorite. The rooms are comfy. The staff is friendly. The management is conscious of indoor air quality (other hotels are not). I travel a lot for business and it's great to find a place I can get comfortable in. I've extended my stay here for these reasons.

We never checked in because, upon arrival, we were informed of an issue with their septic system which made use of the bathroom in our room very limited. We were given the option of staying or not, and we chose not to stay.

It was meh…older motel. Was clean but room smelled VERY musty even with AC on. Room felt like the 1980s…def get what you pay for…wasn’t terrible but needs a makeover. Area around the place is nice. Great places to eat.

The owner was so helpful and friendly. When our car wouldn't start due to a dead battery, he called a friend to drive over to give us a jump (since the owner's car was a hybrid and he couldn't access his battery). The grounds are beautifully landscaped with lots of blooming trees and flowers. It's very conveniently located with a great cafe across the street.

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The room smelled musty and there was mold all over the bathroom and probably under the carpet as well. I had booked two nights but left after one. They offered me a bottle of water at check in, A Tyvek suit and respirator would have been more appropriate. I cannot recommend this place.
