The hotel itself was nicer on the outside. It had a stain on the floor that looked like a pet urine stain. I wouldn’t walk on the floor barefoot! Only had one set of towels and washcloths. Homeless people all around. I was told there was security there but there was people loitering everywhere. I even had someone knock on my car window when I was leaving for work to ask for money. I left a day early because I was so uncomfortable there.

The hotel next to the Hawthorn had a large number of people standing around. I walked to the Denney's and was approached three times for money on my way back. I was good once I reached the Hawthorn parking lot.

The staff members have been extremely rude to me it seems like every interaction I've had with them has been negative for no reason other than the staff members attitude and how they acted towards me, and I have been staying here quite frequently here recently. Yesterday morning this staff member starts saying saying something to me in Spanish which I am not fluent in and I told her that I dont understand what she was saying, and then she immediately starts taking the breakfast foods out if ny hands and off if my plate and I couldn't even tell you why ir what was happening, I had to get another staff member to tell me what she was saying to me, which turned out to be asking me if i have a room here, and when i didnt give her the answer that she wanted, she started taking my breakfast away and throwing it into the trash assuming that i didnt have a riom here. Most recently I was talking to the front desk about another issue I've been having between hotels.com and the property, the desk clerk was incredibly rude and belligerent with me and instead of trying to explain the issue to me or try to help me to understand what it was, and when I asked to talk to her supervisor she said that I would have to come down to the front desk to do that and then she hung up on me, I just keep having problems after problem here for no reason if ny doing at all. I don't have lots of people in my room, I don't bother anybody, I don't have any type of traffic coming in and out, it's just me.

I recently stayed just down the street from this property for two weeks. I didn't even know that a place this nice could exist in this area. This property is very unfortunately located in an area that is one of the worst areas of OKC. It is literally an oasis in the middle of a dump. The staff is super friendly. My check in was complete in under 2 minutes. The lobby is clean and inviting. The elevator is shiny and clean, as are the hallways and common area floors and carpets. My room was immaculately clean. The bed is very nice, the sheets, blankets and towels were soft. The bathroom and shower were white glove clean and well stocked with brand name toiletries. They've thought ahead enough to provide a comfortable place to eat and watch TV without having to sit or lay in the bed. The room felt like a second home. The property is tucked away on its own behind another very scary and broken down hotel. This property really stands out at night because of its brightly lit and clean parking lot. I wish I had known it existed the last time I had to come to OKC and work in this area. I come here frequently for work for the last 5 years. My regular stay is two weeks. Next time, this property will be my home base. It's so strange to feel this comfor and safe fire a change. I highly recommend this property if you can get past the surrounding area.

The front desk person was friendly but young and seemingly inexperienced. She couldn't help a long term resident regarding a trash barrel. She did give us another room when the TV didn't work. Inside the hotel was good (clean and updated). There was suspicious activity going on in the parking lot and there was an appearance of homeless people living there. At the free breakfast, one family took almost all the food (taking multiple trips) just as we arrived a half hour before the end of breakfast. Also, the hotel next door seemed extremely run down.
