Good night sleep

My son and I were there for a local soccer tournament and spent one night. Overall, it was a good experience. The front office girl was very friendly and was able to accommodate an early check in so my son could rest before his 2nd game. That was much appreciated. Kudos to her! The room was clean. Only thing wrong with the room was when I got up at night to use the restroom, I saw a roach in the bathroom. I didnt see anymore outside in the sleeping area. The breakfast selection was non-existent. They only had waffles and apple juice. No eggs, sausage, fruit, cereal, yogurt or anything else available. Other than that, my son and I got a good nights rest. Bed was comfortable.

Great location

The location was key for me, as it was close to the Carlsbad Half Marathon start. The lady at the checkin was super sweet and helpful and I truly appreciate her kindness. The hotel has seen better days and could use an upgrade. Pricey for the hotel level.
