This was our fourth year staying at the WEC. Every year it surpasses our previous stay on excellence. The staff always makes you feel like they’ve been waiting for just you to walk in the doors. The word grand always comes to mind when I first see the hotel and the property. It is my Christmas gift that I look forward to all year long and my favorite place to travel to. The horses and the grounds are also amazing to see along with the excellent restaurants and shopping. It’s the best way to start each year. Until next year WEC!!

The property is very well kept and maintained . The lobby of the hotel and the rooms are beautiful. Check was difficult even though the hotel reservation had been premade with Expedia and prepaid . The front desk person asked to run my credit card twice for $100 and then proceeded to tell me my card had been declined . On the third try the payment was approved and he did not apologize but merely thanked me for being patient which at this point I wasn’t . The shower although beautiful did not close properly in our room and created a wet mess after each time .

Awesome Stay
I had an excellent stay at this hotel! The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, making it feel like a home away from home. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with a smile. This was truly one of the most comfortable stays I’ve ever had. Are you kidding me
“Are you kidding me” were the first words out of my mouth when I entered my hotel room. This was after already being overwhelmed ably an incredible entrance and lobby decorated with high end couture furniture, decor, and equestrian artwork. This place is an equestrian dream. My hotel room overlooks a warm up ring and I could watch horses first thing in the am from my bed with a cup of coffee all the way into the late evening. I was only in town for one evening to try horses in Ocala and was planning to just book any old hotel since I wouldn’t be spending much time in it but I booked The Equestrian on a whim despite the price tag and I am so glad I did. What an experience and I’ll absolutely be back. As a solo traveler, I headed to the bar at the yellow pony to have a martini and a light dinner. It was lively and I’ve never sat at a bar and looked around to be surrounded by all fellow equestrians. It’s such a cool thing. The breakfast at patisserie was also delicious. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
