To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to request a refund for a recent stay at The Downtown Ocala Hotel in Ocala, Florida. My friend and I came back to the hotel the second night, May 9, to discover cockroaches in our third floor room. We immediately informed the people at the front desk. One of the employees said they would not help us, but the other one came up to our room. Upon determining that the cockroaches were under the bed, the employee said they couldn't do anything to help us, including offering us a new, clean room for the night, or a refund. We ended up leaving and not staying that night. I emailed the property the following day about the incident, and unfortunately didn't hear back from them. I later followed up with a phone call, and was informed they did receive my email; which means they chose to ignore it. They proceeded to inform me, I would need to contact expedia, regarding a refund for the incident. I am requesting a refund for the second night our stay, for $111.55, as we couldn't use the room that night. Please let me know how this issue can be resolved. Thank you.
