Great visit as usual. Barr staff amazing, always welcoming and friendly. Room was amazing and mega value for the money. Highly recommended and will be back soon

Basic, but a bargain for the price

This room was very cheap and for the price I was happy with what I got. Rooms are above a pub. First floor are common rooms with dart boards. Second floor rooms 1-6. Third floor 7-12. I was in room 8. This room was pretty quiet. On Saturday night I could hear some noise from the street outside the pub but nothing too bad. There was a darts competition or something in the common rooms which was very loud but couldn't hear from third floor. I'm sure on first floor it would have been a problem though. Internet is available in the rooms, not only in public places like some of the info suggests. However the connection did drop out at times. It's clear the place has been redecorated recently. Bathroom still a bit grubby though. My only real complaint is there was no shade on the skylight so I was awake by 7am because of the light.

Ideally located for the pier, shops, restaurants, train station and ferry port. Check in was quick and easy and the team are friendly. Clean, comfortable and budget friendly

Value for money and friendly welcome!

Amazing stay. Use this place loads and its total value for money. Can’t argue with the pricing which is half if its closest rival and with the pub joined which has great staff and entertainment; you can literally fall out the pub into bed!!!

Room cold. Heater didn't seem to work properly. Shower door couldn't open, so could use shower. Room and "bathroom" dirty, although beds clean. Rugs breaking up. Really shouldn't be available for guests.

Not What I Expected

Our stay was just ok but not what I expected. Entrance through a very busy pub/bar, cobwebs in the room and noise from the bar at night.
