We were not so happy. We had a notice under our door telling us that the hotel would be doing fire alarm checks in each room from 9 am to 5 pm and that it was mandatory to allow the staff in our room. That was very stressful since we didn’t know when to get a shower in case they suddenly arrived at our room. Also, we wanted to have a night cap at the Boathouse Bar like we have done in past stays but there was a takeover of the bar with a convention and bright lights. The atmosphere was awful and ruined it for us.

Best place to stay on the Bay if you have a K-9 companion with you! It is older, right out of the 90s. Clean enough but not as upscale as prices might suggest. Great view, especially at breakfast. The breakfast food is average, served almost cold, and WAY overpriced but the view was AMAZING… Well worth putting up with average breakfast food and slow, unreliable service… Great views! The bed was VERY comfortable and the sound of birds and rain in the morning was wonderful! Excellent dog friendly opportunities as Caesar Chavez Park is basically attached to the hotel! It was a great stay, just know… You might feel like just another number. I was OK with that and will CERTAINLY return! Great value… Though the $40 parking fee that wasn’t listed was REALLY a put-off. Still… I will go back.

Furniture is old and uncomfortable, which I can deal with normally. Unfortunately, the entire hotel feels like it hasn’t been cared for, cleaned thoroughly, or renovated in forever. I didn’t feel clean or welcoming.
