The setting and view were beautiful. The room could have been very nice but the bathroom and floors were not very clean. Clean comfy beds. Breakfast on site was unremarkable.

Owner has done a lot of work to the rooms, which were very clean and very comfortable beds. Back patio right ON the lake. Bring your own kayak! Very reasonably priced! More renovations occurring. Great breakfasts each day. 6 miles outside of Baddeck, but easily accessible.

We stayed 2 nights. We had a problem with the toilet which was fixed immediately. Lighting could have been better and more outlets were needed to charge phones and hearing aids.

The “games room” was sad.. the pool was green and unusable .. the bathrooms are very outdated and not the cleanest.. and they’re doing renovations, which I appreciate.. but they started scraping the mouldings off the wall, outside our room (the other side of our wall) at 8am… it was the last leg of our trip and we were really looking forward to sleeping in.. that didn’t happen 😣

Lovely water view. Great hot breakfast selections with real china and cutlery. Helpful staff/family. The room was superb...as good as the 4 Even better considering the fabulous breakfasy was included in orice!stars we stayed at in Quebec City.

This is an older, independent motel, so don't expect it to meet the levels of quality of a well kept chain and a new building. My guess is that the current owners bought the place around 2018. I think they are working hard to bring it up to todays standards. But, it still has that old Motel feeling, which is fine. The rooms are clean and do not have any odors. The sink in the bathroom is modern and up to date. There is a microwave in the hallway to be shared between all the rooms in our building. Breakfast is included, which is a big plus for an independent motel. The dining area is large with a great view and was once a restaurant. Currently they only have breakfast there. When showering one morning, the water pressure went to near zero. The next morning it was fine. Our room had a view of the lake. The air conditioner was extremely noisy, so we limited it's use. The back lot between our room and the lake had some garbage strewn in the bushes at the edge of the lake. To be fair, the garbage may have been there for years, and they just uncovered it while working on the property, as the soil around the site was freshly worked. They may be in the process of cleaning it up, so the garbage may be gone soon. I did like the place and I hope they are able to continue to improve it.

Rooms were dated and in need of upgrades. Bathroom was surface clean but needs a deep cleaning. Stains on duvets. Restaurant was only open for continental breakfast which was tasteless. Coffee was good.

We only stayed for one night , breakfast was good, staff nice. Property seemed to have a lot of things for families with smaller children. The view around the property was very nice.
