Staff were great and friendly. I travelled on my own and was made to feel welcome. The hotel was a bit shabby carpet need a good clean and shower need retiling but all and all a good experience
The stay was very good. The hotel is walking distance to both train station and to the City Centre.
The staff are courteous and friendly.

No air conditioning in the room, it was like an oven.
They had booked the last room 456 so long distance from lift and would not change it. Initially once you opened the front door there was a dirty smell as room was unused. Every time I opened the bathroom door there was a dirty smell. I did in reception. People banging doors and alarms going off
Night shifts colleagues were not helpful, but the morning team was full of energy and keen to help customers.
Rooms are poorly maintained. Our room was full of dust, and I was struggling with dust allergy issues after we vacated. Not value for the money spent.
They have a good advantage of hotel location but need further improvements in customer services and room maintenance
Position in relation to the coach station is brilliant, one can walk around the corner. Clean and great one can check out at 12. After travelling for more than 25hrs checking out at 12 is great.
No temperature control or condition. Double room had only one chair. No table. Room for two guests had only one set of towels. Everything very used and worn. Interconnecting door with next room had no lock or bolt and indeed opened in the middle of the night!

It was good but keys card was keep on giving problems.
It was suitable for my needs. Room was cleaned everyday which is quite unusual now but this sets Ibis apart from other hotels who are saving money by not doing daily cleaning. Standard of cleaning can be improved though as there were hair left in the sink and on the bed cover.
What must be improved as well are the troublesome key cards that frequently do not work as well as the level of customer service of the female counter staff. The male ones would go out of their way to help but the female ones were not willing to offer help even when asked. They’d rather have you come down to replace the card keys than for them to go up and go the extra mile to please their customers. Kudos to the male staff and the guard who are always smiling and seem to be happy to see customers coming in to the hotel.
