Stayed here before when it was the Hallmark hotel, now it's privately owned and operated using the Best Western branding. So the fundamentals remain in place and it's not bad but it could be improved and fairly easily as well. Staff numbers must be tight so reception is not manned that much. The hotel entrance is all fine but as you progress deeper into the building the state of the carpets and corridor maintenance can easily be improved. We were in room 32 so down in the depths a bit. The corridor store room doors are battered and in need of a coat of paint, the carpets need an industrial clean and/or replacing, quick fixes which would bring the standards up. Similar story in the room, some nice touches but then marks to the plaster on the walls on the edges, bathroom ceiling paint peeling off, worn carpet areas in the corners. Easily remedied though, just employ a person to bring the main areas and rooms up to scratch a bit and you could easily charge more. Bit of filler, coat of paint and a carpet cleaner - job done. Breakfast as well, for £15 the quality of ingredients needs to be stepped up a bit. Poor quality sausages are a sign of corner cutting to the detriment of the overall offering. It's a big site and obviously cash is tight but a bit of targeted investment would increase revenues.

The view from the bar of the Humber Bridge and estuary was incredible! No air - con in room, bed and pillow too soft. One of guests in bar/restaurant was swearing loudly, constantly at the top of his voice - very off putting.

Aggressive signage in the carpark tells hotel guests to pay for parking in advance. Which I did. But on check in at the hotel I was informed that I didn’t have to pay but could register my car there. So this private car park management company has my money. What a scam! The check in desk man was friendly and explained the situation but I’m still out of pocket. So unless they change the signage then I can’t recommend this hotel to anyone (despite nice view and friendly staff).

Staff excellent, very helpful and understanding. Room 62, I could not get to it, to many stairs so staff gave us another room. Room 105 curtain behind seat coming off rail and could not close bathroom door so no privacy going to toilet. Otherwise ok.

The staff were lovely. This hotel is dog friendly so our little cockapoo was able to stay. This made our stay a lot better. The lady was understanding in that we sat in the bar area as we weren’t aloud in the restaurant area with the dog and took our orders, bringing them to us. Bed was comfy. The only downfall was thT the room doesn’t have a fan or air on so it was very hot and not much air flow was coming through the windows.

First and last stay at a best western. Its very much a cheap and cheerful place but not for me... The room was very warm - No air-conditioning. Couldn't sleep because of the TV blaring next door..

You cannot fault the friendly staff absolutely amazing hosts, But room requires an update I had to have a cold shower as no water pressure. When I arrived the room was not cleaned correctly in bathroom as hair and spit was present in the sink. The hotel has amazing views but hopefully I just had an unlucky room.
