STAY FAR AWAY

I think this may have been one of my worst experiences ever. I called before i got there and the guy at the desk was very short with me and rude. When I got there I was nice checked in. When I got to the room it smelled bad but it was also a strong smell of bleach too. The lock on the door was broken. When we arrived there were several gentleman watching us from the 2nd floor and we felt uncomfortable. When we got in the room we realized the sheets were dirty with either makeup/dirt I went down to the front desk and asked for someone to change it out. He said he would be right up to LOOK ( not change) at it because he didnt believe me. We waited a long time and we could see him and he never came. Just stayed talking on his cell. After waiting awhile because we had no where to sit, I went down and cancelled my stay for the weekend. He was super rude the entire time rolling his eyes at me. Huffing and puffing anytime I said anything. I was so nice too!!! There was food still in the fridge from the previous person.

We did not even stay here. We had to leave immediately after checking in and find a new hotel at 11pm because there were roaches everywhere. I have still not been refunded for the stay we did not have. Absolutely dirty and disgusting. There was poop or blood or both smeared on the walls, roaches coming out of the toilet and in the fridge and all around it. Couldn’t sit in the chair because there was roaches there too. I have pictures of everything and this was disgusting! And then, after we left, this same room which was the last room they had, was re-listed on the site for $65. That’s just absurd.

The hotel was perfect for my stay in Virginia Beach for the Virginia Jaycees Winter Meeting weekend, which was held just up the road. The stay and amenities at the hotel were great and the cost was reasonable.

Bloody hand print was on the bathroom wall in the restroom and hair everywhere. Very loud with random people bringing trash bags of clothes in. No Wi-Fi.

I keep a tiday room, so I requested new towels and toilet paper only...for the four days I stayed there there was no working phone in the room and each time I asked for towels and toilet paper I had to walk down to the office after returning to the hotel to obtain both items every day I was there. The front desk during the day was unhelpful. The maids were very compliant to assist when asked.

The first day I arrived, the first thing I saw was a garbage lying on the floor at the corner of the elevator entrance on the second floor. There was a bad smell from the pipe in the room, hair in the shower and towels with dark spots and the microwave was dirty. I had to solve cleaning the bathroom and buying a towel. There was a lot of noise in the early morning of people who worked there, I could never rest well.

The property staff was a bit rude, but able to assist at the core of things. The rooms were clean and everything worked, but it was truly the bare minimum. Still a cozy stay, just less than expected.
